I'm sure you are all wondering (on pins and needles, no doubt) what the family chose after viewing the labor of love that was my Disney Dining PowerPoint.
As I described in my last chapter, we had a lot of fun looking at our choices, examining the menus, and debating the pros and cons of each choice. I gave everyone a score sheet with each restaurant listed and a spot to score it. We ended up looking at and scoring 23 of the entire list of 47 dining establishments (this included all the single credit TS restaurants on the DP and all three dinner shows).
Out of a possible 25 points, both Ohana and 1900 Park Fare recieved a full 25 points. Tying for second place was the Hoop Dee Doo Review and 50's Prime Time. In third place was Whispering Canyon Cafe.
By including Hoop Dee Doo, which requires 2 credits, were only needed to book 5 other dinners. So, we've got one more spot - only problem, we've got 3 restaurants tied for fourth place at 20 points each: Le Cellier, Teppan Edo, Chef Mickeys.
Then things got a little hairy. My dad was gunning for Le Cellier, the girls wanted Chef Mickeys. Scott was fairly neutral. My mom and I, who are people pleasers - tried to mediate. Eventually, we convinced the girls that Le Cellier was the best choice. We've been to Chef Mickeys twice, and we already had settled on another character meal at 1900 Park Fare. And otherwise we wouldn't have had a single TS meal at Epcot - for shame! I would have rather traded Whispering Canyon also, because of the similarity to Hoop, but apparently the girls were even more set on that one (bottomless milkshakes).
So here's how it stands (all dinners - we're not big breakfast eaters):
Ohana
1900 Park Fare
50's Prime Time
Hoop Dee Doo Review
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Le Cellier
* I'm thinking our seventh dinner will be a CS at either DTD, Epcot, or our Resort
Picking the restaurants we want to eat at was fun. Now comes the part that makes me crazy - arranging them and deciding on days/ times. I've got until the 23rd to get this finalized. I'm gonna need your help! I'll be back later this week with potential plans.
You're right, the hard part is coming up!! Putting them all into a good touring plan is tough work! I know, I just did it. But, the bright side is that they all fit, and it worked out great!!
Then you get to play ADR COMBAT! Aren't you excited??!!!
I've only been to 2 on your list (HDDR and PTC) but loved both of them and a 3rd is on our list this time, Ohana!! Which, similar to your "vote" came in first with my crew.
I'd love to do 1900 but with all (mostly all) boys, it's just not on anyone's radar right now and they are all a bit old for the character meals
I have a confession.
I didn't put WCC in as an option this time....I know they'd love it, I know it would have made it in but I just didn't want that kind of food in August. Since we eat that kind of food a lot over the summer already!

Its DEFINITELY the hard part - and the part that no one wants to help me with. I've presented them with a few scenarios, and they keep saying that "any of them would be just great, it doesn't matter to them" - WHAT??!! They have no idea that I'm sweating behind the scenes to make this all appear effortless!
ADR Combat - actually I DON'T have to play it - I have a fabulous travel agent who will be MAKING MY RESERVATIONS FOR ME! So I get to sleep in. I guess you sort of did too- Maroo was your fabulous agent!
