Now Approaching... Sleepingbooty's Sept. PTR (We're BAAACK! 9/26)

Good job reaching some decisions. I've only been to 2 of your 6, but I have 2 more slated for this June.

Which 2, and which other 2?

4 of ours are repeats for us, only 1900 and HDD are new. But of the whole list, my folks have only been to Ohana.

Great Choices!

I've only been to 2 on your list (HDDR and PTC) but loved both of them and a 3rd is on our list this time, Ohana!! Which, similar to your "vote" came in first with my crew.

I'd love to do 1900 but with all (mostly all) boys, it's just not on anyone's radar right now and they are all a bit old for the character meals :(

I have a confession.

I didn't put WCC in as an option this time....I know they'd love it, I know it would have made it in but I just didn't want that kind of food in August. Since we eat that kind of food a lot over the summer already!

:rotfl:

Next trip.

OH, you haven't been to Ohana yet?! I hope you love it (do ya like meat;)) It's been a favorite of ours since our first trip in 2005.

Yeah, my girls are ALMOST getting too old for characters (Jenna, anyway), so I'm trying to get them in while we still can. And buffets tend to work out well for us because then the girls aren't limited to chicken fingers and mac n cheese.

I was hoping we would end up with Teppan Edo instead of WCC. Don't get me wrong, I loved WCC - but I really did want to try somewhere new. Maybe next time (although not likely, since next time I'm hoping to stay at WL, and if we do we'll definitely eat at WCC).

Hey, I noticed you changed your countdown timer to add in Pop :thumbsup2

Nope, Ohana is new and I am so excited for it! Teppan is fabulous, it's our one repeater from last year, the kids wouldn't hear of not going there.

I did redo my ticker, added POP but also redid the other two as the dates were backwards since we'd flipped the order of the resorts. Make my trip seem closer lol.

I have a character bfast booked for both Cali and FL. Both of which are casual and beachy so I think will work. Cali will be a good test of it. I decided to skip the Tony's GG bfast though. I'd really love to do it, it sounds amazing and I suppose we can try to add it once we are there but the stress of the teens making it was more than ultimately I wanted to deal with. So I booked Cape May, we can walk to it and if the teens would rather sleep, that's fine. :rotfl:

Buffets are the best for the under 9 set for sure, the Disney kids menu's are just horrid. Granted most kids menu's anywhere are but still!

I will get there one of these times. My girls actually wanted that one - it was my parents that ix-nayed it. Party Poopers!

Always a good thing!

I think Cape May is more breakfasty than Tony's would be anyway. Its light and bright, whereas Tony's is pretty dark. I want to see the sun in the morning!

Agreed. What's funny is that my girls (Jenna, anyway) will complain about the lack of choices on the regular menus, but I guarantee she will still come back from the buffet with chicken strips on her plate

Hi Rebecca!!! Sorry I've been MIA but I'm back now!!! Busy, BUSY several weeks (check out my PTR)!! I think your ADR choices are awesome!!! And what a fun way to have everyone vote!! Very creative!! :goodvibes

Great choices! We have a couple of the same ones. Lucky that your TA will make them for you! :goodvibes

you are brave. It's not that I didn't trust my TA, I just wanted to do it myself. I let her take care of the not so fun ones though that actually required phone calls.

Oh my gosh - you are back!!! We've missed you! I'll head over to your PTR...

True....Wendy and gang ate at Kona for dinner, chef mickeys...coral reef...all for the kids tastes

I think we'd have had a different set of ressies if it had just been us and the kids. And DEFINITELY a different set if it were just Scott and I. But I'm good with what we've got.

This is actually the first time I've used her - but she came so highly recommended. I've never actually used the online reservations, I don't think it was available yet last May (was it?) - are you doing the rest of yours online?

We did Ohana and 50's Prime Time last year. My $5 TR has reports on both of them if you want to check them out. You should be able to find them pretty easily in the index in the first post. We liked them both, but didn't feel like we had to do them again this year...want to try some new places.

The two from your list that we're doing this year are Hoop de Doo and Whispering Canyon. I had an ADR for Whispering Canyon last year, but ended up cancelling it. I want to check out Wilderness Lodge and try out that big platter. I have Hoop scheduled for our last night as a big send-off kind of thing.

Terrific choices! Whispering Canyon is #1 on the list for our next trip. The food sounds similar to HDDR, but you have a good variety of other styles. Can't wait to see the times you get!
