Novice-some questions about autograph book

I asked this on another thread but I thought I should do my own post instead.

I've never made an autograph book before and I noticed there are some great instructions here. I came across this offer and didn't know if it would work. Snapfish is doing 40% off their spiral bound flip albums (starting at $2.99). Would this work or would the pages be too flimsy? If anyone has done this, are the pages single sided (i.e. back page blank) or do the photographs go on both sides? I was just thinking this may be an inexpensive option but I want something that will last during our stay.

BTDT advice is greatly appreciated.

I wonder if this would work for a journal as well? My only thought is that if it is printed on photo type paper you would need a sharpie only to write on them, no pens?

Here are the specifications. I guess it answers my question on whether the pages are double-sided. Is it durable enough? Writing with a sharpie for everything would be okay??

I have done these for other projects. The images are printed on photo paper and spiral bound on the side. They are good quality, but you are limited as to the number of images you can have per book (only one-sided images). These work really well if you are making a separate autograph book for character meals. Sharpies work on them, but not pens.
