Which week in November would you go? November 6 through November 11 or Week after Thanksgiving? and why? Thanks!

We've done the 6-11 week the past two years. Interested to see responses regarding the week after Thanksgiving.

Other than going Thanksgiving week last year and the week of Veterans Day back in 2010 when the parks weren't quite as crowded in early Nov. as they are now, my only other experience with November was back in 2012 when we went the week after Thanksgiving. Actually went down on Thanksgiving day and stayed for 10 days. By the Sunday after Thanksgiving the crowds began to thin out and the rest of the week was awesome. You can search for threads from last year to see if people who went the week after still felt it was low crowds but I believe it's still considered a better time to go :) Weather-wise can go either way; in 2012 we were wearing shorts/capris during the day but had a couple days where we felt chilly, and were wearing long pants at night. Last year over Thanksgiving it was around 80's during the day and high 60's-low 70's at night.

For the earlier week I know last year it was a lot hotter than normal and surprised people who were down there, but that's just a crap shoot! Jersey Week is sometimes during the dates you mentioned but I believe I've seen it written here already that it's a bit later this year. You'll also most likely have Veterans Day during those days. If you're talking about 2017 or just in general that's something to keep in mind, although Jersey Week alone isn't going to make the parks ridiculously more crowded. That week will also still have Food and Wine going on though which WILL bring in more crowds than the week after Thanksgiving. On the other hand, F & W is awesome and may be something you don't want to miss :thumbsup2

Hope I helped a little rather than confusing you lol!

We usually go in Sept, Oct, or Nov and that first week of Nov. is our preference. The weather can be unpredictable, but usually still shorts and short sleeves with a jacket for early morning/late nights. We are going again this year Nov. 7-12. It's actually my favorite time because it's all decorated for Christmas and helps us transition from Halloween (which I don't enjoy as much as I like the holiday stuff at Disney) to the Christmas holidays.

We went in 2014 from November 12th through the 20th based on numerous people including cast members telling us that was the slowest time of the year. We had an absolute blast doing all of the holiday things and seeing the decorations but it was a lot more crowded than I expected it to be. Many rides had hour long wait times.

We went the week after Thanksgiving last year and it was wonderful! Crowd level was low, we did the Tuesday night MVMCP and walked onto everything. Yes the weather can fluctuate, we had a beautiful week, with only one evening that was cool and rainy.
Everything is decorated and it's just a great time to visit! (Free dining was not going on at the time either, I think that helps with crowd levels at the moderate resorts) We stayed at CSR and felt like we had it to ourselves the first part of the week!
Only bad night was the Saturday following Thanksgiving - we visited Disney Springs and it was a madhouse - shoulder to shoulder walking...the next day we hit AK and nothing like that! Mon-Fri was great crowd wise.

We have done both. I would lean toward the week after Thanksgiving because you can see the Christmas decorations. Plus I think the earlier week may be New Jersey week, which tends to be a little more crowded.

The Wine and Food Festival and the accompanying Run Disney races are the first weekend in November. We'll be there for the races. Not sure the impact this has on crowds.

If you want to go to Epcot, it has a huge impact. When we went, you could barely walk through the countries it was so packed. I wanted to try some of the different foods and we ended up just leaving after only an hour because it wasn't even enjoyable being that crowded. Definitely something to keep in mind.

I vote for the week after Turkey day, with all the Christmas holiday decorations, it such a wonderful sight.

We went the week of Veterans Day a couple years back. It was crowded the first half of the week, and then thinned out....but still not great. If you plan your Fast Passes, you should be fine though, as the popular rides were where most of the lines were.

This year we're going the first week of October. It'll be a first for that, as most of the time I've gone the second week. Hoping the crowds are ok.

Been on "jersey week" several times. I don't see what the fuss is about? We found it to be as crowded as any other time in November. So, I don't think that week should scare you off. I didn't know it was "jersey week", til someone on this board told us, so there wasn't much impact for us.
We have tried the week before Tg, and it was good but got really crowded right before TG. Never been after Thanksgiving, but I think it runs into the Pop Warner cheerleading/football crowds the first full week of Dec.
It seems like it gets more difficult to find a "good" week anymore without lots of events taking place.

We went the week before thanksgiving last year and it was honestly our best trip! It was ridiculously hot! But the crowds were so low, every ride we went in was 10-15minute wait and sometime even less, the longest one I saw was SDMT that was 90 minute wait, I would love to go back during this time!

We love the week after Thanksgivng, not counting that Sunday, the crowds are low and great. We checked in on the SUnday aftet T-Day and everyone was leaving :) The parks were crowded on that Sunday but the resorts cleared out. The whole week was great!
