Hi, This is my first post on this site, but now I have a question I hope you all can help me out with! I'm going to disney nov. 6- nov. 13, I have heard there is convention for nj teachers around this time. Does anyone know the approximate time they may be there?
I'll be staying at polynesian garden view concierge(first time for that) I'd love to hear the pro's-con's about the hotel or anyone willing to share an experience, I would appreciate it! Thanks to all.

Hi Amyjoy, and welcome to one of the boards that made my recent trip to WDW a very enjoyable experience. I am responding to your question about the Poly concierge garden veiw. We had a very good time there. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The lounge staff are extremely attentive and again friendly. The breakfasts are good if you will be satisfied with cold cereal and hot oatmeal, a large assortment of breads and rolls, fruit and juices. They also have yogurt behind the counter,all you have to do is ask,and from that point on they will have one ready for you the next time you come in.IMHO it was fine.We didnt spend much time around the lounge during the day but I know they have a few candies out and cookies as well as coffees and juices. We only had one light dinner up in the lounge but was very good. Grilled sliced chicken and a good assortment veggies and fruit, cheeses and crackers. We stayed about 5 or 6 rooms down from the office area on the garden side.It was a good location. The kids could scoot out the sliding doors to go to the pools. If you stay any closer to the office your prevented from getting off your patio by vegetation, and oooohhhh those ducks.....they left presents for us every day. The staff was VERY good about cleaning it though. Also IMHO the hotel did seem a little long in the tooth, BUT, still perfectly fine for us, and my wife is very picky about where she puts down her bare feet,she was comfortable. This hotel is a definate thumbs up in my book. The teachers covention is in Atlantic city, NJ on Nov 7 & 8. New Jersey schools also are closed for veterans day, which is monday the 11th. Therefore, many NJ people take vacations and try to include some of these dates. We stayed at the Poly last year at that time and loved it. This year we will be at the GF nov 6-13th.
