We're loking at going from Nov 9 - Nov 16, 2003. What kind of weather will we encounter?

We went during Thanksgiving several years ago. The weather was wonderful. Breezy and cool but not cold. I was still able to wear shorts and we brought a light jacket for the evening time. Some people swam in the pools but it was too cool to me to go swimming or let my kids swim. I hope you have some good weather on your trip too! :D

Both times that I went to WDW in November (over Thanksgiving, early December), it was nice, and then it got cold. We had several days each time that were really cold. Last year, we ended up going to K-mart and buying the kids sweats to wear.

The days that it was not cold, it was very pleasant and warm. It usually gets chilly in the morning and evening even when it's warmer.

I am sure it varies each year, but I would throw some warmer clothes in, just in case.

for cool, cold, warm and hot weather! It could be any of those at that time of year. We have gone swimming in November & December when it was in the upper 80's during the day and froze when the wind hit with 40 degree temps. Bring layers over huge coats so you can take off/put on when the weather changes. Rain wise, I belive that Nov. & Dec. are the driest months of the year for the Orlando area. You'll have a great time.

I went last year the day after Thanksgiving through the first week of December. Coming from New England during that time, I was prepared for cold weather (fleece sweatshirt, pants, gloves, etc.). I brought a couple of pairs of shorts, as well as some t-shirts for warmer weather. We had a couple of really nice days, a couple of pretty chilly days and some mornings and evenings that it was just down right nippy! I would be prepared for anything. I was amazed at how many folks I saw shivering outside then running to the stores to buy warmer clothes in the gift shops. Bring clothes for warmer weather, but it would not hurt to bring a pair of pants, a sweatshirt and gloves, just in case. :jester: :smooth:

My husband and I typically go that time of year and have always had beautiful weather! We always take a pair of pants just in case but every time we've been in shorts the entire week. We go every other year and only once have we needed a sweat shirt during the day. Epcot at night can get chilly so you'll probably need either a sweatshirt or light jacket then but you should be fine. You've picked a great time to go - wish we'd be there with you but we're going in December this year (our first Christmas with the Mouse!).

Only 86 days for us...CANNOT WAIT!

I second what EpcotJunkie says....

we went that time last year. Almost all of the days were shorts and t-shirt weather. A couple of days it was really HOT and humid, and the pool felt wonderful. On our last day, it was cool enough for long pants in the morning but warmed up significantly by afternoon (back to shorts). For my kids, I packed t-shirts, shorts, one pair of long athletic pants, one long-sleeved shirt, one pull-over (old navy type). We barely wore the warmer clothes, but I was glad I had them just in case. We left the heavy coats in Kansas City and were glad we did (no need for them whatsoever) until we got back and it was in the 30's!
