I am getting on the WL tomorrow morning. Right now we are at SSR in a studio Nov. 21 moving to a 1br on Nov. 22.

Hoping to WL AKV Kidani. Might try and WL BLT for the first night to surprise the kids and DH.

Anyone else on the November WL?

You should not be on a wait list BLT anyway. Got a BLT one bedroom bay view Nov 21st thru Nov 28th this morning and they had 2 bedroom available. Decided to go with one bedroom because of the points needed for a two. Good luck

i was told this morning that they only had 2-bedroom lock-offs, with a Bay Lake View available for those dates. Were you told something different?

Telcogirl, when he volunteered that there was also 2 bedroom available he did not say if it was a dedicated or lock off because I said right away I did not want to spend the points for the two bedroom. I did call first thing this morning right at 9:00am.

You may not have to waitlist. I called at the 7 month window and switched to AKV Kidani village for our early November trip. Good luck!!!

You were all right. I got BLT studio, standard view for Nov. 21. I have to call tomorrow am for the rest of our stay--again--hoping for Kidani. I'd love to do BLT for our entire stay but that would eat up all of my points--and I'm already borrowing!

The best thing happened this morning! I called MS @9am with the intention of waitlisting for Kidani for Thanskgiving week. We were going to book the lock-off at BLT and if Kidani came thru, then we would get our first choice.

I aksed the CM to just check availability at AKL for my dates, and lo and behold, a dedicated two bedroom savanah view was available for the entire week!!!!!

I was so nervous that the inventory would disappear while she was changing my ressie. But it didn't and we got our ressie.

I am really feeling the pixie dust today!

This gives me hope! I'm calling Fridday to book for our Thanksgiving trip! Did you request a certain building or just "Kidani with a savannah view"?

Also...would you prefer Kidani over Jambo? Never stayed at either. Our home is at OKW, and while we love it there, we want to try something new...but it's a lot more points than OKW!!!

Our home resort is SSR and we love it there too. But, we are bringing the family and everyone decided on AKL. We choose Kidani over Jambo house because its brand new, for one, but the main reason is that the 2-bedrooms have 3 bathrooms! With three teenagers on this trip, that will be a huge plus for us! Also, I am not sure what size room you are looking to book, but in Kidani, the one bedrooms have two bathrooms. Isn't that neat!

Kidani itself is a seperate booking category and so is the Savannah view.

Congrats!! We must have been on with MS at the same time!! I also called at 9am to W/L AKV in hopes of getting a 1br at Kidani, SV. Pixie dust must have been blowing all over the place--we lucked out too! No W/L--it was available. I was really surprised. Why do you think it's been so easy to book AKV--especially Thanksgiving week? "

So, our first night will be in a studio at BLT (SAT). Chef Mickey's for dinner and a late trip over to MK for the parade! Then, we'll switch to AKV for the rest of the holiday week. I can't wait. I am going to surprise my DH and kids--they don't know about BLT! I have never switched resorts but I am going to pack a small rolling bag with our PJs and stuff for the next morning so we don't have to even fuss with opening our other luggage.

I can't wait!

When I kept seeing that everyone was switching at 7 months and getting in, I knew my chances were going down each day---since a lot of people are going for the whole week and could make their ressies days before me. (We are staying a week but staying into December). I asked the CM about more inventory opening up and he told me that only the first phase has opened and said since I have my waitlist in place, he felt there was a "strong possibility" that it would come through for me. I'm clinging to this shred of hope! If it doesn't, I gues it's not a big deal. I still have my original ressie at OKW.

I think you have an excellent shot. The important thing is that you called and got on the WL right away! That puts you above most.
