November Wait List Thread

We were waitlisted on 7/3 for a 1 or 2 bedroom any view at BWV for 11/11-11/15. We got a 1 bedroom Perferred view on 8/8.
Since we had points left in holding, on 8/11 we decided to add a night so we are waitlisted for a studio any view for 11/10 at BWV. We currently have SSR so at least we have something.

I am so excited! Today the final two days of my waitlist came thru for a 2 bedroom at BCV for November 5th and 7th. Now my whole week is complete! I had a 1 bedroom preferred view at BWV that was cancelled for those nights so I hope that helps someone who is waiting for them.

Thats great news!! Gives me hope for my November 9th night at BCV 2 bedroom... The ONLY night I am waiting for to make my 1 week stay complete!!! I was hoping since you got yours maybe mine went through too, but just checked and it didn't but glad to see there is still hope out there

Oh yes, there's still hope! I was waiting on the 9th also and that came through about a month ago. I went on the waitlist for the ninth on April 10th at 9:00. I hope it comes through for you!

WOW, what luck... I was put on the wait list on April 10th about that time too, you must have gotten through to them faster than I did.. LOL.. I was waitlisting for November 8th too which came through about a month ago.

Yeah My waitilist finally came through for 11/29 at BCV I am SOOOOO excited and on I had almost given up and was starting to consider alternative plans as we would have been checking into the BCV on 11/28, out on 11/29 (and into AKV), and then back in on 11/30. Would have been quite tiring!!! Good luck to everyone else!!! There is hope!!!

STILL waiting on my waitlist for BCV 2 Bedroom for November 9th to come through... The only night I need.... I only have a little less than 1 month to wait before I have to cancel my reservation at BCV and just stay at BWV..

We are still waiting for November 11th at the BCV. We really only want the room until 5:00 PM. We were originally supposed to leave at 4PM but our flights were changed to 8:30. It would really help out for us to have the room until 5 and then someone with a late arrival could have the room by 7. Oh well, I know that it is not that simple. Still crossing my fingers!

Just wanted to send you a quick note to say that my family of 5 plus 2 friends stayed at ssr in august in a 2 bdr and absolutely loved it! We were very hesitant because we are bcv fanatics, but much to our suprise we really liked it and would def. stay there again. The grounds and rooms are beautiful, and we had no trouble with transportation to and from the parks. Hope your trip is magical wherever you stay!

We are still wait listed for a 1BR or Studio for either the BCV or BWL for Nov 8 thru Nov 11. We hold reservations for a 1BR at SSR for our backup.

Our waitlist for a studio at BWV for 11/22-11/26 didn't come through, so out of curiosity last week I asked if there were any 1 B/R and voila a preferred view at BWV poped up for all but 1 night. So we're waitlisted only for 1 night now.

I think there's many factors why peoples waitlists haven't come through due to a variety of specific requests
ie particular views, specific resorts, size of villa and finally the most important the dates requested. A waitlist will only be given if your requested dates of stay all come through at the same time unless requested otherwise.

So my new ressie came through by just asking for any 1 b/r at any resort for any of those dates I needed. Someone obviously had just cancelled and I got the overlap of a portion of their ressie.

I'm still waitlisted for just 1 more night but I've got a back up just incase.

So try calling and being as flexible as you can rather than thinking that DVC is trying to "sc***ed " us.

Here's the deal. What is the point of having a waitlist if it is not being used the way it is supposed to be used?!

So now does everyone have to call MS 2 or 3 times a day to see if something just happens to pop up.

I'm joining the wait list thread for the first time. My dad decided he wanted to go to WDW in November, and he just decided on dates. I called yesterday (I know... it's awful late to get a November ressie) and got him two of three dates he wanted, but he's wait-listed for November 4th in an OKW Studio. Has anyone else made a ressie so late, get wait listed, but then come off the wait list? I need to make sure he gets in to a value resort if he doesn't come off the list.
