My DH and I are in the early stages of planning a trip this fall. We have always visited in October, but this year, are considering going from November 9-14, as I will not have to take any time off from work unpaid. I know the F&W Festival will still be going on...yay! Can anyone tell me about crowds or weather? Is the weather comparable to the end of October? Is is crowded? Thanks!!

My family and I vacation every year in November usually in the beginning of the month. The weather is absolutley beautiful. This was the first year we had rain (only a little bit) The crowds aren't too bad but a little busier b/c we go during Jersey Week. The food and wine festival is also a lot of fun. Have a great time.

Thanks Kerry! I forgot about Jersey Week...any clue what week it will be this coming November? I was hoping the weather would be just as nice as late October.

Some schools in NJ have the entire week for teachers convention off but where I went to school it was only the 2 days the meetings fell on. This year it looks like it is November 4th and 5th but don't forget it is an election year also so schools might have off for election day on the 2nd. I hope this info. helps. It looks like you'll be Ok with the dates you picked.

Jersey week is usually the first week in November so I believe you'll miss it.

We went last year the same week you are going this year. We really loved it. The weather was beautiful. It was either in the low 80s or high 70s each day and the nights really weren't bad either! The Food & Wine Festival is great. As far as crowds go, the rides that get crowded are the ones that always get crowded - the "main attactions" and, of course, Fantasyland attractions. But, for the most part, we didn't have any problems with too many people - not like in the summertime.

We will always try to take our vacations during this time of year until the kids get too old and the school year doesn't allow it. Then we'll have to suffer in the summertime.

Enjoy!

Thank you everyone! I am a teacher and this is good time for me to go as we get Veteran's Day off, and I can use my 2 personal days so I will get paid.

I am disappointed that we will not be there for MNSSHP though. We went in 2001 and 2003 and it was fabulous both times. At least we will still have the F&W fest though.

You will hit Super Soap weekend (13th,14th) so crowds are expected for that. Avoid MGM on the weekend, but as far as the other days I havent a clue. Maybe someone with some experience with this event can give you some hints.

BTW--The weather is beautiful that time of year. Warm during the day-cool at night. Bring pants and light jackets. Have a great time!!:D
