I am taking my 9yo and a friend and her son for 5 days in November. My friends fly with us there but return one day sooner. I am looking for a special activity to do with him after they leave. We've never done the waterparks so I was thinking of doing BB. The night before (with our friends) we are doing MVMCP so that's out. We are staying at Kidani! Yeah finally going home!!!! Thanks in advance for your help!

I have not yet traveled to Kidani, but I hear from various threads that there is plenty of on-site activities for kids. Perhaps you can find something right at the resort that will be fun for him.

The water park is also a great option. I went to Blizzard Beach many years ago and it was great, but lots of stairs to climb.

I'm sure you will be able to make a great day for your son. Have a great time!

I'm doing the same thing in two weeks with just my 9 year old, just him and I for 5 days, are there any "behind the scenes" tours that a 9 year old can do, want to do something different.

Having done both waterparks numerous times, I would lean towards Typhoon Lagoon because it has a better wave pool...:goodvibes I couldn't get my 17 year old son OUT of the wave pool:lmao:

I am planning to take my DS4 on a Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage when we come next spring. My parents will be with us as well and I'm sure we will all enjoy it.

I believe Typhoon is under rehab the time we are there. Is BB okay for a 9 yo?

Toniosmom: Thanks good idea. Pirates and Pals Firework Voyage sounds fun - is it wishes? That sounds perfect for him and I because if his 15 yo brother was with he wouldn't do it for fear of being called a baby. ;) I am going to try to look it up on the boards.

Have fun! I took him last Sept. and he and I had lots of fun. I don't know any behind the scenes tours - he was really happy to have mom to himself.:)

yeah the more i thought about it, we are just gonna have fun and not plan too much, especially since I just ransacked my house and can't find our left over waterpark passes or the passes I thought I had a day or two left on!!

Here's the link for all of the fireworks cruises. They really look like a lot of fun.

Here's another: Kids Pirate Cruises. Looks like a lot of fun for the kids without parents.

Also, from what I remember about BB, I think your 9 yo will be fine. But it's been a while, so someone else may be better to answer your question.

Whatever you decide to do, I'd love to hear about the cruises. I've never taken any of them, nor has my son. But I think he will love any one of them.
