November trip timing

Hello all!

We are planning our first ever trip to DL in November 2008. We can either go the week of 11/1 - 11/8 or 11/8 to 11/15. We are also planning a side trip to San Diego (for either the zoo or wild animal park) and to see some friends. A trip to the beach would be nice since my kids haven't seen the ocean yet. Any thoughts on a better week to be there. I understand some attractions/show might be down... be we are hoping to catch fireworks, etc.. on Friday night of our stay. Is one week a better choice than another?

The week of 11/8-15 includes the Veteran's Day Holiday. The park will likely be much more crowded from Saturday the 8th through Tuesday the 11th than it will be the preceding week.

Personally, I'd opt for the 1st through the 8th.

Forgot about Veteran's Day... very good point. I think we will do 11/1 - 11/8 (and remember to vote via absentee ballot for election day... another detail I forgot about!).

I will just have to remember not to watch any news or read any papers to avoid and potential upsets.
