Hi
We are planning a trip this november which will have thanksgiving at the end of the first week.I've read posts that say the parks are busy that day.My question is are the parks busy on the 3 days leading up to it and the 3 days after thanksgiving.Weve always been in october and went to a park on columbus day,Very busy with long waits.

Many Thanks

Hi and welcome to the DIS, Thanksgiving falls at the end of my 2 week stay so we're going to get all the 'mustdo's' done the first week and then chill a bit so I'd recommend trying to get yours done in the week after thansgiving and not stress too much during that first week.

We went for 3 weeks last November & thanksgiving fell in the middle,
the first week we were on i-drive & did universal - it was great hardly any waits for rides, we got on & off spiderman about 3 times & we even videoed the non-existant ques for ET!!!
The second week (thanksgiving) we were in Disney & it was the total opposite, huge crowds especially around the parade routes, although it didnt stop us doing anything & we still managed to do everything we had planned, the bonus is that the christmas decorations are put up at thanksgiving & the osbourne lights at MGM's started, which are amazing!!! Make sure you pre-book any restaurants you want though as you wont get in otherwise, we did thanksgiving dinner at the Grand Floridian & i booked as soon as PS became available. I have heard thanksgiving crowds can vary year to year some years being really busy & others quite so you might not have any problems, but i think its best to plan ahead especially if theres something you really want to do.
Good luck & have a great time :sunny:

Hi
Thanks for replies. We'll try and do some parks on the first few days and see how it goes and leave thanksgiving and the weekend for chilling by the pool or may drive down to daytona beach.

Thanks
