Still trying to decide when to go... ughhh

Per previous recomendations, we were thinkng of going around June 22-27, now I'm wondering about the July 4th time period. What is it like the days before and after the 4th? What would be best? Or, what are the crowds/hours like prior to Thanksgiving and afterwards?

When we can only go every blue moon, I want to make the most of our trip.

Too bad there is no crystal ball to magically tell me when is the best time for us to go LOL!!

Thanks!!!

I can't help on the Thanksgiving crowds but I will tell you that you don't want to do DL during 4th of July time. The crowds are big prior & a few days after. The 4th of July was wall to wall people......super fireworks show that night, but you really are in a sea of people for the entire day.

Good luck with your planning!!

When did you go during July 4th. This past year? Because I have seen multiple reports that July 4th this past year was almost empty! :confused3

OP, based on what I've heard and experienced, I am willing to bet that the time around July 4th will be less crowded than late June. Also summer is better (in my opinion) because more rides are open and the parks have much longer hours (than in early December/late November).

We went last year on July 6 and 7 (which were a monday and tuesday) and the crowds weren't bad at all. In fact, it was less crowded than when we went on a friday morning in the middle of may. I don't know how the holiday weekend was since we went after the 4th but the days we went were great. I wondered if crowds were lower when we went because everyone who wanted to go for the 4th was there the previous week and had gone home by the time we went?

We were there a couple years ago....I also heard last year wasn't as bad.

We went a couple of years the week before Thanksgiving and it was pretty quiet. Last year we went on the Monday after Thanksgiving and it was way busier than we expected but still not bad. I think the longest wait time we saw was 60min for Splash and Space Mtn.
