Next year is my senior year of high school and my parents and I are planning a trip to WDW. My question is which would be more crowded November or June? We are either thinking Thanksgiving week since I will have some days off or early June, after I graduate. I was just wondering when you all would think it would be less crowded and the weather in both months.

Thanks!

First of all...congratulations of being a senior soon!! It was my very favorite year in school!! That has been many, many years ago but I can remember it vividly!

First couple weeks of Nov. is wonderful!! However, Thanksgiving week is a nightmare from what I hear. (As far as crowds go). I have a friend that went in 2003 and she said Mon. and Tue. were'nt awful but Wed. on was horrible. As for June, I think the crowds are pretty heavy all the time.

Have a wonderful time whenever you go!!

Early June will be about as crowded as the week of Thankgiving. Weather is better in November with avg highs of 78 compared to 91, and lows of 57 compared to 71. Hotel rates will be lower (I think) Thanksgiving week.

I think the crowds will be around the same if it's Thanksgiving week. But if it was between the two I would pick November. I hate it when it is so hot I can't enjoy myself!!!!
Also you get to see the Christmas Decorations!!!

The historical crowd data in the Passporter and UG show an almost even crowd during the 2 time peiods:)

Thanksgiving week itself can be crowded, but the week after is perfect (last few days of November, first few days of December).

andi_b_2005- My son will also be a senior, and we are going down for Thanksgiving this year! He and his brother (a freshman) will miss 3.5 days of school, but it will be the beginning of second quarter, so they will have plenty of time to make up their work. We much prefer the weather in Nov. to the heat of the summer months! We will be there until evening on Dec. 1st, so we are hoping for low crowds at least the last 3 days. Good luck with your planning!

I know it wasn't in your checklist, but I"ve heard the last two weeks of August, while hot, is not too crowded.

If crowds are the same, I'd pick the time with better weather. Do you want to battle crowds AND heat? Just crowds? Just heat?

Enjoy your senior year!

Thanks everyone! November sounds like a great time to go. The only problem my dad came up with is the hotels might be booked already. Do you think that's possible. plus I'll only be able to take 3 days off so I can get senior release. (very important to a senior :) )

Thanks again!

You have a good point there about hotels being booked. We tried to change our ressies around for November at the Yacht club and we could not. Everything was booked
