I'm in, trying for 17 No Buy Days again. Thanks for starting the new thread!

One of my siblings is moving to Orlando, which means I get to go visit soon and have something to look forward to in the next couple months!!:figment:

November
1-No Buy #1

1/17 Days So Far

Trying for 15 again, and also NO LUNCHES OUT. I would have made my 15 last month if I hadn't given in to the siren call of Panera Bread.

1 - Groceries
2 - No Buy #1

I'm in again this month! Hoping to score a solid 15 days..... but the Christmas shopping will probably be starting soon, so who knows!?? I don't count regular groceries or gas or bills or anything else that was planned for /saved for in advance.

November 1: Sunday at home, no shopping, but paid the photographer for DS's sr. portrait shoot.... but this was planned way in advanced and there was money set aside, so counting this as a NO BUY #1.

November 2: Worked at school and then straight home. NO BUY #2.

Thanks to stayhomemom77 for getting this rolling!.................P

Thanks for the thread, stayhomemom77. This month I need to get back on track. I hope to have 15 no buy days. Off to a slow start but hope to finish strong.

11/1- $43.10 Giant Eagle and $32.47 CVS
11/2- $28.44 Five Below, $56.55 Target, $8 Target pharmacy, and $15.75 lunch out

0/15 No buy days

Aiming for 20 No Buy Days

November

1-No Buy #1--staring the month off right!!
2-Spend--had to run out for feminine protection (oops!)
3-No Buy #2--calling it early but I am determined not to spend any money today so if I put it here, I am committed!!

2/20

1 - Groceries
2 - No Buy #1
3 - Bought a new rake because we had the old metal kind and I was so tired of cleaning leaves off of it. The new plastic one is awesome and doesn't spear the leaves!
4 - No Buy #2 - going straight home to make enchiladas for dinner. Yum!

I'm thinking this is the right month to try this! I'm aiming for 15 days this month since it's my first time, but I wish I had decided to do this before I went and bought stuff for the majority of the first few days of this month.

11/1: I went out to eat with a friend!
11/2: I had to buy gas for my car or I wouldn't have made it to school lol
11/3: I bought more Pad Thai. I have got to stop eating out ugh.
11/4: No Buy #1!!

Yay! I followed a thread like this a while back and it really helped us get out of debt, and helped me stay accountable. My Husband and I will be finalizing the adoption of our three foster daughters in the next few months and we have let our finances slip in the last two year with a move from one state to another and adding three more kids to our family. I am happy to see you guys still have a "No Buy". We have a trip booked in September 2016 and we are hoping to be debt free and saving by then. So here I go! Im going to start today...

6-NO BUY

Updating....

November 7: Home for the day, but met a woman to buy something completely frivolous from a FB yard sale.
November 8: WW staff meeting and then groceries, but stuck with the list! NO BUY #6
November 9: Worked two jobs and then home..... NO BUY #7
November 10:Working two jobs.... calling it now NO BUY #8 (I won't want to have to change that later, so I WILL stick with it!)...............P

EDITING 11/11: 11/10 was a no buy! And today is SUPPOSED to be Mother/Son day. I have a budget envelope for that, so unless I do some impulse shopping, I will be counting today as NO BUY #9.

SO late to the party, and SO far behind:
Rules clarification: Am I right that we don't count stuff like mortgages, utilities, groceries, and gas? If so, here are my stats:
11/2: No Buy #1
11/5: No Buy #2
11/7: No Buy #3
11/10: No Buy #4
Only 4 so far, but determined to institute austerity this month. Of course, having the day off is not helpful--already did some online shopping for Christmas, and my local thrift store is 75% off bc they are going out of business :scared1:...

Everyone makes their own rules on what they will count...I DO count gas and groceries but there are plenty of people who don't. Whatever works for you is great!
