Aiming for 10 no-buy days

11/1: $110 on after-Halloween sales (everything was minimum 75% off, so we stock up on bags/new decorations/costumes)
11/2: $50 on lunch for my department, it was my turn to buy for everyone.
11/3: No buy! (1/10)
11/4: $130 on a new Dooney & Bourke - but I had budgeted $250 into my savings for our trip in January to buy one, so this is like $120 in savings :rotfl:
11/5: No buy! (2/10)
11/6: Went for supper with friends, my boyfriend paid for us. I didn't really enjoy the food though, so I did spend $8 at McDonald's on the way home

11/8: No buy! (4/10)

11/5 - bought spices ($10), dinner out with neighbors ($120), Christmas gifts for DD from American Girl ($70)

11/08 - $24 - two sweaters at Target. I did not need new sweaters, but I had to wait 20 minutes for my flu shot and I browsed. I should've stayed in the Christmas section. I can resist that (my attic is a 90% off Target Christmas treasure trove.)

Nov 9 - Stupid tax $17.71 - I am traveling for work and realized that I had forgotten some needed toiletries. So stupid. I travel a bit lately so I keep a bag packed, I pulled a couple things out of it and forgot to replace them.
Nov 10 - No Buy (5/18) Calling it now. I am home again, doing laundry, paperwork, working. Going no where and spending nothing. Dinner is Mediterranean Chicken Stew already in the slow cooker.

1- Post office, $4.45. This was a stupid tax for me on purchasing the wrong item and needing to send it back.
2- Getting a haircut tonight. A little costly, but I only get my haircut about twice a year so I feel the cost is justified.
3- No buy
4- Caved and bought HBO for the month. Darn you, Westworld... so good.

November 10-$101.14 on groceries.

Made the rounds and shopped at Target, Winn Dixie and a local grocery. I did go over budget but there was a good sale on whole hams and turkeys so I bought one of each as well as two huge packages of split chicken breasts. I also splurged on beer for the weekend and a few honeycrisp apples ($1.99/lb!) Everything else was the usual: salad mix, avocados, broccoli, squash, zucchini, eggs, bananas, etc.

We should be set except for milk and produce for at least two weeks, probably longer.

November 11-$36 at the vet

Friday was supposed to be a no spend day but we woke up to a sick pup. $36 for an exam, two shots (antibiotic and steroid) and a round of oral antibiotics.

We're camping in Biloxi and there was a chance that we might eat out but due to one thing (traffic) and another (camper TV is out and tomorrow is football day!) it was after 8:00 PM by the time we were set up. We ended up eating gumbo that I had tossed in the freezer for "just in case".

We had date night last night, so certainly not a no-buy. Babysitter, restaurant, etc. DH and I also bought some much-needed new shoes.

Nothing so far today (other than groceries), but we are planning to go out later to get curtain rods (which we need, but still a "buy"). Even if I only have 3/10 days so far, I am feeling much more conscious of impulse buys and trying to avoid extra buys.
