Hi: Anyone who has been to wdw in early november, how was it for crowds and temp. Do any of the parks stay open til 9/10?

Thanks.

The week of Veteran's Day (11/11) can be somewhat crowded; it's referred to as "Jersey Week" because NJ schools are closed a few days and a large number of people travel to WDW. My family has gone several times in Nov. and found the crowds very manageable. Temps are not bad, but we bring sweaters for the evening in case it cools off. We've been swimming then, too. WDW now has the EMH program so various parks stay open later each day. I think its a great time to go (after Vet's Day, but before Thanksgiving).

I've only been in Nov. One year the first week and the temps were as high as 90 and as low as 70 with rain. Second time was the week before Thanksgiving and it was around 80 and sunny the whole week.

Hi:

I am glad you told me about the jersey week. Thanks everyone. I like the temps and the park hours, I definitely don't want any rain though. Sounds like this march has been rainy in wdw.

How about crowds, moderate do you all think.

Deb.

Cottontail,

Early November is getting to be a very popular time to go. We went last November from the 4th-14th. It was Jersey Week, Veteran's Day weekend, Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT (spectacular!) and Super Soap Weekend at MGM. We found the crowds were much larger than we had expected. Not as bad as the summer months and peak times, but enough so that my gang said they'd rather risk colder weather later in the year to avoid the crowds we ran into. The weather, however, was fabulous - 80's during the day (w/low humidity - big bonus!) and only about 15 drops of rain they whole time we were there. I would definitely consider this time again, although we are planning on going later this year to avoid the crowds.

Hope that helps.

During the times I've gone in November, the crowds seem most moderate after Veteran's Day and before Thanksgiving Week. It's a short window to be sure. We sometimes catch the end of the Food and Wine Festival, which is nice. Last November I thought the crowds at MK were slightly larger than previous years, but not terrible. Waits at other parks were not that bad (a few minutes).

My absolute favorite week of the year to be at WDW is the week before Thanksgiving week (not the week of Thanksgiving, but the week before it)....crowds low, weather generally mild and dry and most of the Xmas decorations are up.

The week after Thanksgiving week in December is also a nice time to be there.

This is great. We've gone the first week in December the last two years, but it's really "cramped" my Christmas stuff. This year we decided on catching the last of the Food and Wine Festival, we enjoyed that last year, and then also the Festival of the Masters, and then staying the following week after, which is just the week you said. I was so sad to give up my Christmas decorations though and now it sounds like at least some will be up already, that's GREAT!!!
