November hours are changing!

I've been watching the calendar for schedules for the 3rd week of November when I'm going to be there with my family. I just noticed this morning that Mon-Wed opening times changed from 10AM to 9AM! This is good news for us, we're early risers.

I'm betting that they will be changing the rest of the week to 9AM as well (Thursday the 19th shows 10AM still). I was just looking at the Plaza Inn reservations, they haven't adjusted the breakfast hours yet though for the character breakfast. Any guesses when they'll do this? I'm betting I'll need to change our reservation.

With the "Season of the Force" Star Wars stuff launching that week, they are expecting higher crowds, so the hours are being extended....good news, more park time!

Wow, I hadn't noticed that, thanks! That is our week, too. I'm not all that thrilled about the Season of the Force opening on the 'quiet' (haha, but it should have been relatively calm) week we chose. But at least BTMRR isn't listed as being closed on 11/19!

I was looking forward to a 'quiet' week there as well. Still, it shouldn't be as bad as when we went last year for the 4th of July weekend.

We will be there November 18th-21st. We have 3 day hoppers with one MM. I am wondering if I should use the MM on Thursday (9am) or Saturday the 21st? I am hoping for the best crowd wise but expecting the worst.

There are a couple trains of thought on this:

Thursday is likely to be a 9am opening, which means MM would start at 8am...and being a Thursday, it "might" be a little less crowded than Saturday. A lot of people can hit a 8am opening...and if normal park opening is 10am, than MM is at 9am...even easier for people to get up in time for that, making MM very busy.

However; Saturday will likely be an 8am opening, which means MM would start at 7am...so while Saturday will certainly be a busier day overall for crowds, it's harder for people to get up early enough to hit a 7am MM opening, so that first early hour may be less crowded than Thursday.

Once the park hours are posted/confirmed for the dates you are going, decide if Thursday or Saturday MM will be better for your family.
(With Season of the Force starting that week, that's a whole other thing to consider that no one knows the impact of yet).

You are right. I am thinking waking a bunch of teenagers and a 9 year old up on a Saturday at 6 am for a 7 am MM may not go over so well, LOL!

Thursday the 19th now has an opening time of 8AM, MM is 7AM. Our character breakfast reservation is for 9:10 that day, I think I better make a phone call...

Oh snap! You are right! I was looking at Wednesday's hours thinking we would have a 8 am MM... nooooooo!!! We will be going to the Pirates Adventure Dinner the night before. Oh well Saturday we will be in the park until it closes so Thursday is looking like the better option.

If you look at the list of attractions in DL for the 19th, some say they are open 8-8 while others say 10-8! I think they are still trying to figure it all out. I just need something to distract me for a few days so I don't obsess over it.

That week is the start of the holidays (well 11/13) as well as the start of the new Star Wars stuff. If it's anything like the start of Halloweentime it will be packed that week!

I believe the Avengers marathon thing is also that weekend!

Yep, the marathon is that weekend. Last year we were there the same week, first day was Sunday. The morning wasn't bad crowd-wise, got busier as the day went on, but given that it was a weekend & marathon event, it wasn't as bad as it could have been!
