I would like to go to WDW the first week of November. Anyone know of any codes for that week? Wishful thinking?

Wishful thinking. You and everyone else in the state of NJ is trying to get a room in Disney during "Teacher's Week" aka - NJ Week

I would bet you can't even get a decent airfare any longer. People plan to go that week as soon as the school schedules come out.

I'm actually not in NJ anymore. Need to update my profile . . . airfare shouldn't be a problem since I'm not flying from NJ area anymore.

You think there won't be any discounts because one state has a Teacher Convention? I hope that's not the case . . .

There won't be any discounts because the rooms are already booked.

It's not just a teacher convention. The schools are closed for election day, 2 1/2 days for the convention, and the following Monday is Veterans Day.

Almost everyone I know takes their kids out of school for the 1 1/2 days it's open for the purposed of taking them to Disney.

People run into their neighbors. The staff all welcomes the NJites.

We usually go the week after, and we've been asked many times, "why weren't you here last week?"

Yes, not only do I think there won't be discounts, I pretty much know there won't be any if history continues to repeat itself.

Okay, actually they often do have discounts available in Nov. Last year in Aug. I got a flyer with a pin # on it. It was good for dates in Oct thru most of Dec. We went for 10 days the second week of Nov with a room/ticket package and saved about $600!! It was awesome. Actually, mousesavers has a history of the discounts offered in the past few years, such as Ap, FL, General public, etc. and you can check them out here:

I am very confident of another code coming out for this Nov, and will really start looking for it beginning in Aug! Of course, getting decent airfare is another story! Last yr we got about 190 each round trip out of Chicago and booked in late Sep. I think. The prices right now just went up from about 236 to 378 last week or so. That stinks! Don't know how that will all go, maybe there will still be sales or I can look into airtran out of midway, but really prefer Ohare, so... Anyway, we'll see, but I do feel pretty good that there will be discounts offered at WDW so at least there is that. Good luck on planning your trip and getting a good discount! And, if nothing else, you could still try the AAA discount!

We're talking about the first week of November. The second always has had discounts available, which is why that is the time we go.

NJ Week in Disney never has anything available as far as pin codes or discounts.

I wish it wasn't the case, but I'm just trying to help out the OP here - no use picking a week, waiting for discounts, and then when they come out, there's nothing available for the chosen week.

Well, maybe I'm just confused but the mousesavers dates from last year seem to show discounts from 10/21 thru 12/15/07. I copied these discounts available and the stay dates directly from the site. Doesn't it show that there were discounts during that 1st week in Nov? That first week seems to be covered in the years previous to that also. They don't have blocked out dates at all. Am I missing something where that first week is concerned?

Whenever discounts are available, they are always qualified with "availability." So while the discount period covers the first week of November, discounts are probably either already spoken for, or never available in the first place.

Another reason why we always go the second week of November.

I received a code for Nov 2 thru Nov 11, it was mailed to me, it had a picture of dumbo on it and we got 30% off resort, we got All Star Movies for $69 a night, I'm sure code will come out before much longer.
I/m still waiting to see about AP rate. Just keep watching the boards.

That's great news for those of us who prefer to go earlier in the month.

I guess the economy is taking it's toll on WDW and they're offering more discounts.

As for last year, Jersey Week was the second week in November. There was a discount that ran during this time. I know, I used it! It was a 40% off code. It came out early in the year though ( I think plans had to be booked by March 07).

I got another code for 2008 dates, however, Jersey Week is NOT included this time. It's the first week in November this year, and that week is blocked out. Don't know why Jersey Week was discounted last year but not this year. I'm sure people are planning on going anyway. Airfare last year from Newark was $600 RT. Can't imagine it being any higher this year.
