November discounts

We are planning a trip in November which is the first we will have ever traveled to Dw around that time of year. I know the week we are going was covered in free dining (the week before thanksgiving), we are staying at AOA and we all need our own rooms so we will stay in little mermaid rooms. I know there's almost zero chance of free dining in that case unless we all upgrade to suites but it just isn't possible, but no one wants to leave AOA either. So my question is this, are there any other discounts that might help us save some money with staying there still during that time? Historically speaking. I know every year things can change. We will have packages of course so idk how the room discounts work.... Or if there is any during that time.

This is for 2015, and I know nothing is known this far away, just looking for some insight

Free Dining always excluded the Mermaid rooms, but room only discounts I am not sure about. I am looking at the current room discount offer on the disney site and I don't see the Mermaid rooms listed at all for that either.

Wonder if anyone else can shed some light!

Mermaid rooms aren't included in any discounts, room or otherwise.

aaarcher86, you are always so helpful; I have a question...if a resort looks full online when you go to book, are there still possibly rooms available for the CM discounts? I'm thinking maybe it's that some are held back and the general public does not see these online.

Doubtful. CM discounts are pretty big - if Disney can get those rooms booked at a higher rate they will. But you never know. I can say for sure, but I personally don't think they hold back rooms at all.

If free dining is an option in the suites, you should definitely price it out compared to no free dining in the Mermaid rooms. Depending on the size and ages of your party, the savings can be pretty significant. Also run prices at the other value resorts with free dining and also the moderates with free dining as well and if you present a large savings to your group, they may be swayed. I do totally understand wanting to stay in AoA though! It looks amazing!

The last few years, there have been both dining and room offers at many of the resorts, but every year, there are rumors it is being phased out. If Mermaid rooms aren't covered now, they will very likely still not be covered next year. But there are a lot of other options. It sounds like you need to put a few possibilities on the table and decide what is most important to everyone.
