November dining reservations?

I was on at 5am centeral this morning and didn't have much luck either. I was able to get BOG lunch at 11:05a. I tried for Whispering Canyon and Via Napoli and I wasn't able to get either one. I did get a "breakfast" reservation at 1900 Park Fare at 11:20am that we will do instead of Whispering Canyon dinner. Thankfully we have 6 months to watch and wait for more spots to open.

I laughed this afternoon when I got my email from Disney saying that I could book reservations today. If I would have waited until the, I wouldn't have been able to book anything!

When I did my September bookings, I could get CRT for lunch, but not Tony's! It was crazy.

Same issues here (Nov 11-19). I think I only got 1 reservation at the restaurant and time I wanted. The rest I had to play around with (change days, pick weird times, etc.). And I was on at 6am on my 180 day.

Oh no! I can't make ADRs until Sunday for 11/20. I am quite concerned.

Interesting about the Candlelight Processional. Would they be starting that before Thanksgiving though? I would love it if they did!!

You are all making me nervous. We have gone during free dining every year since it started and have never had problems getting anything we wanted. Even BOG last year. But now I've been reading how everyone is having issues, and I'm nervous. We have 6 going thanksgiving week and they want CRT, CM, ohana dinner, etc. I'm worried

I was just about to post the same thing. We're going during the exact same week and I was unable to find times open for several restaurants. We've gone during free dining the last 2 years and never had a problem before. In fact, I didn't start making ADR's till around 170 days out both times and still didn't have a problem.

I was just able to book Via Napoli for the 19th. It wasn't available earlier.

I got very lucky, my ADR date was last Friday for 11/11-11/22, I got pretty much everything I wanted and times I wanted except for arrival date Chef Mickey. I'm hoping to snag a brunch when they open up. I did have trouble with getting a Garden Grill reservation, but one popped up this afternoon. I have O'hana for BF and Dinner, BOG Dinner, Sanaa, Coral Reef, TRex, Sci-Fi, Teppan Edo, 1900 Park Fare, and Garden Grill.

I did FD in 2013 and had very little trouble, other than my Chef Mickey arrival day. I finally got that one at the time I wanted about 6 weeks out. Patience and persistence. Good luck everyone.

We are going in September and, initially, I had the same issue. Then, just a couple weeks ago, Disney opened a TON of ADRs and we got exactly what we needed. I don't know why they are doing it this way. Sure seems to be causing a lot of frustration!

I booked this morning and easily scored CRT, Mickey's backyard bbq and trex - all for the times and days we wanted. After that, no luck--no availability at Hollywood and Vine, BOG or 1900 Park Fare. Hoping they open up!

Seems like Epcot restaurants (except Nine Dragons and Teppan Edo) now have availability for the week of 11\16.....

I suspect this is done on purpose to redirect the keen early bird guests with free dining to the less popular restaurants. Disney already has your reservation (and deposit), knows you will make X number of reservations for X number of days on your dining plan, so is attempting to direct guests away from the popular restaurants (BOG, Ohana, Via Napoli, Teppan Edo, etc) toward those restaurants that traditionally do not have as much volume. eg if we can't get BOG dinner at MK what do we do? What is the default dining? Well, many of us go to Kona Cafe, Wave of American Flavors, Downtown Disney or back to our home resort for dinner. This leaves slightly more room at popular park restaurants for day visitors and off site guests. And it helps keep Disney restaurants at the resorts viable. Disney isn't worried about filling seats in the hot restaurants. The demand is already there. I'm not impressed with this tactic but it appears to be happening. What to do? Well, short of cancelling your hard won Disney free dining vacation, keep trying for the reservations you actually want at the times you really want. Disney is opening up ADRs in staggered waves. A wave seems to happen approx 2 to 2 1/2 weeks or so after the 180 day window opens. Keep checking!

My ADR window opened last Tuesday and I ran into the same kinds of issues. Over the next few days I was able to make all of my ADRs (except Y & Y but that's a different thread). I was surprised that in some cases, I could not get closer than 50 minutes to my requested time.

We have gone the last 3 years with free dining and I have never had problems getting anything BOG, Mama Melrose fantasmic, CRT, Hollywood and Vine and Tusker House pre-park opening. Our window opens this Saturday and I am getting worried!

We're going that time too, without fd! We got everything we wanted including BOG, But, there are only 2 of us. Maybe that's why?

it seems like significantly more EPCOT reservations in particular have opened up since yesterday. I wonder if this is a system glitch, or intentional by Disney? I tend to think it is intentional, because nothing at Disney goes unplanned!

I logged back on this morning and scored Beaches and Cream and SciFi for lunch --both were previously booked up yesterday.

My window opened today and I wasn't able to get Tucker house or Hollywood and Vine we did book Crystal palace and will keep trying it's a big bummer
