Thanks for the update for when holiday time starts. We'll get a couple days without it and a couple days with it which will be nice.

Cool! It's not often that I do anything called brilliant! This is a brilliant idea!! It'll really help everyone's planning. I can't wait until the schedule's start showing for November, that will be when it really starts to sink in that we are going to Disneyland!!!

You are very welcome! It's looking good for us in November. So far no major major rides. I can personally do fine without Star Tours or Roger Rabbit but my bunch has a really major upset when we show up and something like Splash or Pirates is down. Will be crossing my fingersthanks I was wondering what was going to be done for refurbishments.
Well okay.... if I can't get a slice of birthday cake singing Happy Birthday to Mickey will have to do. Actually, I think your idea is fantastic... even brilliant!Unfortunately it looks like Mickey's birthday doesn't get much fanfare anymore!I think we will visit Mickey at his house on his birthday with party hats. My kids will get a kick out of singing him happy birthday.
I forgot about the cookie decorating!! That was so much fun last year. And a nice way to get some downtime away from the crowds.
Hey! Maybe that would be a good idea for a DIS meet! We could all meet at Mickey's house to sing for him!AHA! SO..... I am going to have to keep my eye on you!It wasn't your mistake Mariezp, it was mine. I had been thinking of the week of the 12th or the 19th for our trip, and somehow it came out that we were coming the 12-19th. I WISH!
I ordered all our tickets! SeaWorld is having a special that a child's ticket is only $5 with the purchase of an adult ticket. So I saved us $80 on our tickets from what I had previously figured. I went ahead and ordered our Disney tickets today, since there is a rumor the price tends to go up early August. I just got the 2 day park hoppers. I think my daughter is going to be really exhausted and overwhelmed as it is, so I decided not to tempt myself to push it. I have a feeling we'll be very overwhelmed and jetlagged after our flight, so the pizza and a movie sounds better than experiencing Disneyland for the first time, for two hours! LOL!
The only thing I have left to figure out are our shuttles. I'm going to wait until the November schedule comes out for Disneyland before deciding which day to go to SeaWorld. I'm thinking if it works out that we can split our Disney days so we can get a break in between.
Maybe we can make our own thing happen! That's kind of a bummer,... Cute idea for the kids though.
I will probably make a day trip around that time, but was going to go that day is something was going on.

That's a good way to do it! Actually we will too! Thanks for the update for when holiday time starts. We'll get a couple days without it and a couple days with it which will be nice.![]()

Glad you enjoyed the pics!Great pics Marie and thanks for keeping everything updated!
I'm watching a PBS show on the Monterey Aquarium and I think we'll have to take our GS next year, he'll love it. I love going back there, it so beautiful and hands on for the kids.
California traffic! Well, with the exception of taking my son to visit the Gracie Jui-Jitsu gym once per trip.
I scooped them, as they say in the journalism biz!! Tell all those peeps on MouseSavers that you heard it on the DIS first!! Woo hoo!!I just saw this information regarding closure of the Castaway Cove at HoJo. They will be closed Nov. 1st through the 7th. Here is the article.

I'm glad I didn't pick that week to go, my kids would have been so sad.

We get there on the 6th but wont be needing it until Tuesday (Thank goodness!!) Is it really warm enough in November to go swimming??? Up here in the great white north I wouldn't dare go outside in a bathingsuit in November, I'd probably get committed![]()
Avg highs for Anaheim in November is 74. We were there Halloween weekend last year and really wished we'd packed our suits.

I wish they had a banana dancing in a bikini,
Still holding our for a price drop but I have a feeling I am going to panic soon!YEP! You know your stuff even better than the big shots! We are glad we have you to keep us informed ahead of the crowd!Ha ha!! I beat MouseSavers to the punch in announcing the official holiday start date! I did it first!!I scooped them, as they say in the journalism biz!! Tell all those peeps on MouseSavers that you heard it on the DIS first!! Woo hoo!!
Odd thing is - it doesn't sound like everyone received that same e-mail from Disney Destinations (DNews) that I got and the mystery MouseSavers member got. I haven't heard too many other folks refer to it. Actually, I'm sure that many more folks probably got it than we realize, BUT perhaps they didn't see the little spot on the lower right-hand side that indicated the DLR holiday start date. It would have been kind of easy to overlook so I can picture many folks missing it.
Glad you decided to join us. Do you have any hotels in mind or anything specific you are looking for? There's certainly no shortage of choices!4 of us are going from 11/19-11/28. We still havent figured out the hotel yet.
Luckily it won't affect me since we will be staying elsewhere. In our case we have never gotten around to spending time in the pool anyway. Everyone would rather be at the park. BUT thanks for posting the info just in case someone here might be disappointed to arrive at Hojo to find the pool closed.I just saw this information regarding closure of the Castaway Cove at HoJo. That's one of the great things about California. It is usually great weather! In November it is cooler in the mornings and evenings but mid day can get pretty warm.We get there on the 6th but wont be needing it until Tuesday (Thank goodness!!) Don't foget to bring them this year.... just in case!Avg highs for Anaheim in November is 74. We were there Halloween weekend last year and really wished we'd packed our suits.

I'm still holding out with you. Other than SW, fares have been going up by $15-$25 for a day or so, then dropping right back down. I remember it was about this time last year that we were waiting for fares to drop for our October trip and the same thing was happening, so I was panicking. Then, in early August, they dropped a lot; not quite as much as we'd hoped for, but enough that we jumped on them and bought. I'm hoping that will happen again but, if not, we'll just go with SW, which is still about $80pp more than we paid a year ago.Exciting news today! First off I got to add a new name to our list AND.....
I got our park tickets today!!!!! I am so excited! Now all I need to do is just make sure to find a way for us to get there.Still holding our for a price drop but I have a feeling I am going to panic soon!
The fares we've been tracking on SW have dropped by $17 today. Still hoping it will drop below $200 r/t, which is still a lot more than we paid last year.

I guess if all else fails you can do your own dance and just jump right in the pool and imagine this smiley is wearing a bikini or you are skinny dipping.![]()
Yes, indeed sometimes I do have too much time on my hands. Anything to help pass the time in between now and November!!!!![]()

Greetings to you all the way out there in Australia! I have added you to the list. Do you know where you will be staying and I can add that too. Please add us too going 11/26 to 12/7
Second trip this year went Jan/Feb for Anniversary and now taking our son for his Graduation
His last trip was in 2002 when he was 9
Glad you enjoyed it! I wasn't sure if I really should get so carried away with the smileys but I got on a roll and just couldn't stop! The bikini kitty seems to be the favorite. I hope she livened up your day at work! Thanks for the image of the dancing bikini cat, Mariezp! I won't be able to burn that from my brain anytime soon, lol! Hopefully I won't have to explain outbreaks of the giggles at work today... Congratulations on getting your Disney tickets! Your one step closer!
Sounds about like American right now. Up and down but not enough to have lured me in just yet. If your past trip offers any sort of pattern perhaps fares will go down 2 months ahead of time which in our case would be in early September. Your dates are like mine and we will be traveling during the Thanksgiving rush. Have you flown before at that time? Someone told me that they were not likely to drop but would more than likely continue to go up. I hope I don't hold out and end up with $500 tickets! I learned one thing from last year. I am just about right smack in the middle between DL and WDW. It is so much cheaper to fly to WDW. Guess that's why so many people go there instead. Not me. I'd rather pay the difference and be in DL!I'm still holding out with you. Other than SW, fares have been going up by $15-$25 for a day or so, then dropping right back down. Does stink when you find out they went down. Guess that's why I never go back and look! I don't want to know. Right now I would love to just have your higher airfare!Just checked Jet Blue, (we booked with them a week ago). They're just barely below $200 RT from Salt lake to long beach. I'm kicking myself, I could have saved 20-30$ per person rt..![]()
So glad you liked them! Nothing like a little smiley humor to brighten the day!![]()
