Cool! You will be at the Desert Inn at the same time we are! It's our traditional stomping ground! Who knows? Maybe we will run into each other! WOW! How romantic! I bet that was amazing to get engaged at DLR. Do you have a trip report wrote up it somewhere? I'd love to hear about it!

Glad to be of assistance! Wish I could help you on the MM days but I have never stayed onsite so my knowledge is sorely lacking in that department. I am fairly sure you are correct though. With the rates that you have to pay at GCH you should get at least that much! Bet your kiddos will have a blast!




Is it just me or is anyone else having issues with their countdown tickers vanishing and then reappearing? I hoping I'm not losing my mind before we get to make it to Disneyland!

So a few pages back, I'd said that I was hoping that the airfare would drop below $200 r/t before we bought, but then ended up paying $217.40 because I didn't think it would actually go any lower. Since then, the outbound flight has gone up about $97 and the flight home stayed the same. Today, the flight home finally dropped! By $18! So I got my wish and we are now flying for less than $200 r/t.

Actually, I think it was booking with SW that paid off. We were already paid in full but it didn't cost anything to rebook the flight home at the lower fare.

Hi all fellow November travelers, and there is a lot, isn't there. Just an update to my dates. I will now be there Nov 11 -20, instead of Nov 12 -20. We couldn't resist adding another day... actually that's the 3rd time we added another day, but it's the last. At first I told my husband I was taking our son on a short trip to DL. Now it's 9 days. I just can't go to that double digit place.

Has anyone tried to hook up with another traveler arriving the same day to share a ride with? Or is that not allowed on the boards?

Got your dates changed. It's so fun to add just another day! I did that myself. I think I may have gotten a little more carried away than you did though. Started out with 10 park days and ended up with 15! That leaves us plenty of time for afternoon breaks, the boys to sleep in late or to leave the park early if it is overly crowded.

I'm pretty sure there is not rule about arranging a meet up with others Disers. I've never officially met anyone at Disneyland but did run across a few that were recognizable since they had their LGMHs. We said a quick hello and exchanged DIS names. I did meet up with M&N in WDW and it was a very fun experience. It was actually in my plan to meet up with a couple other ladies from our TKer thread but with the timing, along with the weather, it just didn't work out. I think it would be much easier to arrange a meeting at DL cause I am so much more familiar with the park, know my way around and have a pretty good idea of what we will be doing each day. You and I be there at the same time so as November gets closer maybe we can work up a plan and get some others to join us!

You gotta love those snowballs! They seem to be hitting a lot of people around here! Considering the potentially long wait for candy canes you will probably be glad you added a day. Good to be ahead of this sort of thing!

I am currently making a somewhat pitiful attempt to read Walt Disney The Triumph Of The American Imagination. It's not going very fast. I only manage to get in a few pages each week. Still, gotta keep going! My son is reading it too so I've got to keep up with him on my Walt Disney history. I also purchased The Disneyland Encyclopedia but haven't had a chance to even pick it up yet. Guess it will be a good one to keep me occupied on the plane.



My DH was just filling me in on the amazing find he had gotten for my son for Christmas which reminded me..... I need to get some shopping done before our trip! For starters I headed over to Walmart,com and pre-ordered Toy Story 3. Guess I gotta start somewhere!

We will be there 11/21-11/23. Thank you to the state of California for forcing teachers to take furlough days due to budget cuts! At least I get to spend my non-paid days at Disneyland!

Well, for eight nights at Desert Inn, it would be about 1000. Just for fun, I checked the same dates at Disneyland Hotel and found it for 1468! Since after a dozen visits I've never stayed on site, we decided to go for it! I'm really, really happy and trying to figure out how I'm going to sleep tonight because it's all I can think about!

I look at Birnbaum's now just to get me even more psyched up. I picked up The Unofficial Guide thinking there might be some tip or secret that I wasn't aware of, but didn't find any. I have a copy of The Disneyland Encyclopedia and, although it reads like an encyclopedia, it is full of interesting information both current and from the past.
