Decided a couple of days ago to make a short solo trip in November. Wanted to stay at AKV (or BW-standard studio, but, not surprisingly, nothing available there). Ended up with a mixed ressie (was working with points previously borrowed, so was trying to keep it close to certain # of points, though willing to borrow a couple more if I had to). Started with:
Fri: Deluxe Studio Jambo
Sat: Deluxe Studio Jambo
Sun: Value Studio
Mon: Nothing - w/l for value studio
Noticed last night that there was a value studio now available for Sat. Called this a.m. to change Deluxe studio to value for Saturday and rep told me my waitlist for Monday had come thru. WOW, that was fast! Now have:
Fri: Deluxe Studio Jambo
Sat, Sun, Mon: Value studio
I have done another waitlist for a value for Friday, so that if it comes thru I won't have to change rooms (it would leave me with 2 borrowed points unused, but, I'm willing to lose those to not have to move).
I had been researching WDW hotels and had decided if I had to, I'd try out POR on Monday night, but with such a short trip, I'd much rather stay in one place!
