twinmom108,

Have you stayed at any other DVC locations?? Our home is Saratoga, but we have also been to OKW and AKL-Kidani. We are staying at the Treehouse in April/May and Kidani Villiage in October!!

I did some training in Colorado for 6 weeks a few years ago and fell in love with your state!! Went to the top of Pikes Peak twice and had to sing America the Beautiful both times :rotfl: (that was difficult with the altitude!!).

I am, however, a Jersey girl through and through ....

The cabins at Fort Wilderness? If so you're going to love it. Last month we rented a 5th wheel & stayed at Fort Wilderness for 5 days before our Dream cruise. We did not go to any of the parks & just enjoyed the campground, & downtown Disney. Highlights for us were Fireworks on the Beach, Hoop De Doo Revue, & the Segway Tour.

We are DVC members and DH & I have a 2 week visit to WDW planned after Thanksgiving this year. We'll be staying at our favorite resort - Villas at Wilderness Lodge. :goodvibes

We are staying at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds :)
We looked and looked and decided on them. It came down to Port Orleans Riverside, Art of Animation Suites, and the Cabins. I was up for any, but we are a camping family and living in Montana we love that type of atmosphere :love::love: I really like the idea of the kids having there own space and they look really nice :thumbsup2

We have our home points at VWL & AKV. Besides our home resorts we've also stayed at Vero, BWV, OKW, BLT, BCV, & VGC. We didn't stay there but on one trip we visited Hilton Head for about 5 hours.

I would like to stay at the Treehouses sometime. Since we don't have points at Saratoga, we might have a hard time securing a ressie there. Hoping for Aulani for our 25th weddng anniversary in 2016.

I've lived in Colorado for 22 years now, & DH is a Colorado Springs native. I guess that makes our 3 boys CS natives too. I love it here - even though it's so far from "the mouse". I call it home even though I grew up in So. California. Pike's Peak is beautiful & it's so nice to see it every time I do errands, etc. Can't say I ever sang America the Beautiful while actually standing up there, but I can definitely see how the view inspired the song writer!

DH has been to Jersey a few times on business, but I've never been. I'd like to go to New England on vacation in the future especially when the Fall colors change.

Excellent choice!!! :thumbsup2 I recommend it highly. Attended college in New England.

You got us beat on DVC locations. Not so excited about BLT, though DH wants to stay there. DM loves the treehouses, but Disney being Disney upped the points because they were so popular! Way jealous about Aulani.

Looking forward to V&A QVR dining for our 25th on May 2 this year!!!

Port Orleans Riverside was the resort we stayed at on our first WDW trip in 2000, Only it was called Dixie Landings back then. Because there were 5 of us we stayed in the Alligator Bayou section with the additional trundle bed. POR still gives me a fond feeling when I think of it. Haven't seen the Art of Animation Suites, since they are new & will be opening up soon? I saw one TA quoting the rack rate of $445 plus tax per night. oooooh that seems way tooooo pricey. We stayed at the AS Music Suites in 2009 @ only $150 a night. At that price the cabins would definitely be my choice too. :thumbsup2

Fort Wilderness is a world in itself & we certainly enjoyed the laidback time we had there - for once not playing park comandos & running from attraction to attraction. Well, I don't really run because my body doesn't work as well as it used to. lol. I think you & your family are going to have a wonderful time at Fort Wilderness. :cool1:

We've stayed at the Port Orleans French Quarter or Port Orleans back then!! I found it to be my favorite moderate, until we stayed at Coronado Springs. ;) DH has ALWAYS wanted to stay at Fort Wilderness. Been there for the HDR. It does look cool!!

Can you tell I don't feel like working?

It is so very quiet on our board???
We have 566 days or 81 weeks!!!

It is 5 weeks till me and dh are on the Fantasy for the 1st time so if anyone has questions on something they would like us to find out or pictures of anything let me know and I will do my best to get the answers or poctures :)

I thought I would ask what people thought about when it gets a little closer having a kids thread so the kids can get to know each other before the cruise. I know I have 2 teens and see there will be a few others so far. On our very first cruise and last cruise my ds made friends before we even got on the ship...lol They were chasing each other down :)
So what does everyone think???

Would be great! It's just that DD12 lives with 7 different diagnosis and she never did this before. But it's worth a try. If we didn't try anything, she would NEVER have been successfull at riding her bike last Sunday without the little "special" (training) wheels! She was purely extatic to be able to do it by herself. She also passed her two first dances in Figure Skating last month and is working on her "Level 3" in swimming classes. (She is in regular Grade 6 with a full time Educational Assistant.) So, if the kids can be patient with her, and even more given that English is our second language, I guess she will be in!

Have a Fantasycal cruise!

:tinker: Poussière de fée!

Hi, we booked this cruise the other day. Very excited as finally getting some family to cruise with us. Their 1st Disney cruise!!:cool1:

Also, I will be celebrating my birthday, Nov. 10TH! What a b-day present!

woohoo!! Happy Birthday to you!:cool1::banana:

I don't have anything special planned for myself yet- maybe a spa treatment :confused3. I have been lucky and this will be my 2nd cruise for my b-day. We're goin on the Fantasy in Dec 2012 for my cousin's b-day.

Have you thought about any plans for your day?

It's just dh & I cruising so maybe we'll splurge & do Remy. I've been told Remy is a must do - at least once. I'm sure I will do one spa treatment - just not sure where to fit it in.

Funny, we were originally booked for the Fantasy in Dec 2012, but we'll be going to WDW instead.

Just had our first meal at V&A last night! Remy is a must do for us!!!
