We will be at the Raddison the night b4 also. I think that Gecko1 and family will be also. We should meet and have a drink by the pool!!

I have a DD8 also, maybe ours could meet and be cruise buddies!

Just want to share, first off we'll be at Disneyland hotel on friday for the 1st DVC california member reception (we live about 30 mins. away from DL), from what i've read here at the boards we'll be getting a lot of freebies from DVC . Then, on Sunday we will go to L.A. to see the Magic off to Mexico, I expect a lot of disers there! I'll try to post some pics.
I haven't booked our flight and hotel (pre-cruise) yet! Hopefully by next week. Also thinking of staying at Radisson.

I was having a boring day at work, so I was flipping between the webcam and disboard. Saw the back end briefly at the first lock, or was it the second? Anyway then the webcams went down and so on.

I read that they closed the web cams because a US submarine was going through the locks with the Magic and when a US sub goes through the cameras go off.

Knew that is was getting close to the bridge, then all H broke loose at work and I never got back to my computer until I got home at 5!!!! Missed the whole thing!@!

I will try again on the E-bound.

Isn't the weather horrible!!! We are only about 2 hrs from you and it is so cold and windy. I thought it was almost summer, but now I think we are having fall weather, so that means we should be cruising, right!!!

Yes, the weather is dreadful here as well. They are saying we will have a sunny weekend which will put everyone in shock and the temperature may reach 80 by Monday. It seems more like April than May for sure! We should be crusing anytime!

I just heard today that American Airlines is now charging for the first bag! The next thing you know they will weigh us and we will pay by the pound when we board the plane. Heaven help us when we come home from the cruise!

The airlines- Ugh. I agree- what next? We are driving down but I can't say that's much better because of the gas prices.

Well I've been helping the economy out by shopping for the cruise. I've been picking up a little here and there. My sister keeps telling me to wait for clearance but I'm afraid I won't be able to find what I need. Dh and myself are almost done. Just need to find some shoes, t-shirts etc. I think I'll wait for X-mas dresses for DD(3) for formal night.

Lost fans- It's been great. I started to well up when they showed the 6 landing Do you think Claire is dead? My DH was thinking Jack and her Dad might not be dead either??

You can add us to the list of dis'rs who will be on this cruise. I have been lurking for awhile but I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to keep the date. I have booked the airfare so there is no changing it now.

We are Me(Linda)40, DH(Roger)42, DS(Zack)11, DD(Alexandra)9

This will be our 4th Disney Cruise (third on the Magic). I think I am starting to panic because I haven't done as much getting ready for this trip as I did for the other ones. We are staying at the Best Western instead of the Radisson because by the time I went to book it the price had gone up $50. We are planning on staying until Sunday evening in Orlando. I am thinking about finding a hotel near Downtown Disney.

My DD8 would love to meet other kids her age and email them. If anyone is interested please let me know. My DS would probably email too but he is not as likely to really keep in touch.

You are right, if you have booked the airfare, you are going! There are two of us, plus our dd, her dh and two good friends.

I am sure you will find some other children for your daughter as there seems to be quite a few young children already listed. I know everyone will have a wonderful time . How could anyone not have fun on a Disney Cruise

Welcome!!!! Yes, once we get a little closer to Nov. I would love for my Emily to email your DD!

Congrats on the airfare. We actually haven't booked airfare yet, we were intending on driving, but we will see what rates are on Southwest when they release them. If they are as they list now for Oct., we will be booking!! I HATE to drive, esp. all the way from OHIO.

Well, May is over, we are closing in on 5 months to go..

It is hard to believe that we are within the 5 month range. After reading some of the postings on the Panama Canal and dinner at Palo, it makes me so ready to be there!


With gas prices like they are right now and no relief in sight, it does make flying look better and better. I made our reservations early because I was afraid of airfares going out of sight, but who knows what might happen by November There was a time I would have taken a chance and booked late, but with five tickets and three from South Carolina, I didn't want to chance anything. I guess I worry too much, but I am the one who has to have everything planned out ahead of time. I booked our rooms the first day I could do that last December. I wanted to be sure I had what I wanted where I wanted it! At least that is one thing I don't have running through my head when I go to bed! I guess that is why I need sleeping pills!

Hi everyone. My family is crusing with you in Nov. pandamom is my SIL. We all did the DD in Nov. 05 and loved it. I saw how much fun pandamom had doing all the activities with the Disers on our last cruise and thought I'd join in on the fun. I have spent the past few days reading ALL the post to this thread and spent the last 2 hours tring to figure out the ticker and everything. So I'm happy to finally join all of you.

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend. We were supposed to have rain, but lucked out and had a rainy Friday night and nice all weekend.

Didn't we have a GREAT weekend!!! I thought that we were going to have thunderstorms, but they came through Friday night and we had a PERFECT weekend.

One problem, I asked my DD(7) to spray my back with sunscreen, and she did. Tonight I find that the middle of my back (between my straps) is nice and white. My back between my straps and shoulders are Bright RED!! I guess she didn't understand that I meant to do my whole back! OUCH!

Got to go, time to put on lotion!!!

is anyone staying at the Residence the night before? We are also going to WDW for 2 days after the cruise, is there anything that we just have to do. This is the first time for DH and kids. Pretty much the first time for me too, being its been like 20 years since I was last at WDW. Since were are only going to be there for a short time I wanted to make the most of it.

Will you still be there on Sunday night? I noticed that Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is going on Sunday night. If I hadn't already booked the flight home, I might have decided to stay one more day for that. I wouldn't try to do all 4 parks in two days, it is too much and you will be tired after you get off the cruise. We were going to stay at the Radisson but I didn't book soon enough.

We are going to the Christmas party. That is DH Birthday and also Ds will be 2 days later so what a great b-day gift. I did get the park hoppers but am second guesing that now. Just because we wont be able to do everything. What do you think.

I would pick up a book like Birmbaum and read through it and decide what things are most important and decide from there if you really want the park hoppers. A lot depends on how old your kids are much they can handle in a day.
