Shopping at DTD is always fun! If you have any children, you may want to check out the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique at the World of Disney Store. The turn little girls into princeses and boys into pirates! What fun!

Nope, no kids here. But I am a big kid! I just turned 29 on Sept.5 and I did the BBB at the World of Disney Store when I was last there in Dec.2006 and loved it!!! The World of Disney Store is also one of my favorite stores, along with the Pin Store, Christmas Store and Goofy's Candy Co.! Just to name a few!

Have you been to Mickey's Philharmagic show before? It's one of my favorite MK attractions!!

Welcome Jumbo29. I have a question for you if you don't mind. We are driving from NJ to WDW. We will be arriving on a Sat. late afternoon to Pop Century on 11/01/08. AAA trip tik says to take 95 then I-4. Will the traffic be horrible at that time? or should we go 95 to the Beeline? Would like your opinion. Also what's the easiest way to the port? AAA's map has us on SR-536E then SR-417 to the Beeline to port. Thank you for your input.

Take I-95 to I-4 Westbound, it is the best way. I-4 is not as packed on the weekend as it is every day. I drive 16 miles one way to work every day and can take 25 minutes or 55 minutes depending on accidents.

Staying on I-95 to 528 is a lot further south and then you have to come straight west.

The directions to the port are fine as well. 536 is one of the entrance/exits of Disney. Stay on 536 and it dead ends into 417, take it North toward airport and after the airport will be 528. 528 East to the Airport. You will have tolls but don't know the amount because we have an electronic pass for those.

We live in Orlando by Sea World so actually take 528 to I-4 to downtown for me and roommate goes the other way to work every day.

Somehow that just seems to really put the Magic right in your pocket for real, doesn't it!

When he went by yesterday I was so disappointed, like a little kid who didn't get what she wanted for Christmas!

I don't think dh will be able to stand me today---good thing I have a hair appointment today and will be out of his hair, for real, all afternoon!

I am taking some clothes to get altered for the trip. Everyone says this lady is great and does fast work! Keep your fingers crossed that they are right! . I want to take them with me.

Three weeks from yesterday and we will be there! Yea!!!!!!

There was a soggy white package waiting for me on the doorstep when I got home from work...luckily the luggage tags inside didn't get wet! Now it seems really, really REAL! This is the third time we've stayed in this stateroom, so it feels kinda like home!

Now I'm realizing how we are not at all ready for this trip...we've been out to Colorado a couple of times visiting our land and talking to log home builders (and are off there again this weekend) and DH's tux and my formal stuff is STILL sitting in a ball on the laundry room floor waiting to go to the dry cleaner! It has been there since we came back from a Wonder cruise in June. Embarrassing.

Couldn't have put it better myself! DeAnn is right on the money. I concur that I would go I-4 on the weekend, especially coming from that direction, but stay away from it completely during rush hour. Friday nights seem to be the worst!

The directions to the port are right on as well. I want to add one thing and everyone might be interested in this....just found out that the Blue Angels are flying at Kennedy Space Center that weekend. I don't know the specifics but I will try to find out and post them. I'm afraid there might be some heavy traffic on 528 near the port!

The air show at Canaveral will likely draw a big crowd. For this reason, we're breaking tradition and staying the night before the cruise at Cocoa Beach. I'm sure if you leave early enough, you can avoid the traffic jam on the Beeline/Beachline. My DH is an aviator and is absolutely thrilled we might be able to watch the show from the deck of Magic or even our balcony! For this reason, we're also spending most of our St. Maarten day on Maho Beach watching the jets land on people's heads! There's a great bar there, by the way, where you can listen to air traffic control and watch all the planes come in.
