Which week would be better to be at Disneyland and why? We are trying to decide which week to go. Is there something going on one week that would not be the next? More of the decorations would be up for Christmas the second week, right? Our only thing is we would love for Space Mountain to be open. Do they do Fantasmic in November? We were wanting to get reserved seating for that. Crowds would be about the same or not? Thanks for any help.

Week 1: Vets day=longer hours but bigger crowd Nov. 10-11, SM may be down taking off the Halloween overlay, few Xmas decor up

Week 2: SM should be open by mid trip (if they take off overlay?), everything Xmas should be open by 20 (presumed kick off of Xmas season)

Fantasmic and fireworks show on weekends, but may also show on vets day with longer park hours.

If you want to see the holiday fireworks and the Christmas parade, then Nov. 16 to 22 would be better.

The Believe...In Holiday Magic fireworks and the Christmas Fantasy Parade should start showing on Friday, Nov. 20.

Although I haven't visited in November, I have heard that the crowds are low on the weekdays in mid-November (Nov. 16 to 20).

Fantasmic should be shown on the weekends, and yes, there should be more holiday decorations up during the week of Nov. 16 to 22. (I think DLR should be fully decorated by Friday, Nov. 20., since that's the first day of the holiday season.)

we were there the week before Thanksgiving week last year. We useually go in December but we heard this was a great time to go. We started out on a Saturday which was very manageable. Sunday was great too. Mon-Thurs. were no crowds at all. They did play Fantasmic at least on the weekends. Friday was opening day of Holiday season. It was crazy busy. The one thing I would reccomend if you go this week would be to think seriously about the Holiday Tour. My husband would never spend the money on this unfortunately. You would have priority seating for the Holiday parade if you did this. If the parade is not important to you and you don't care to much about the snow or Reindeer Roundup then I would get out of there before that Friday.

We always go in mid November. IMHO, the best time to go.

The later in November the better - as long as it's not around Thanksgiving.

You'll have longer park hours and possibly some of the Xmas decorations. We went Nov 10th in 2007 and the decorations were going up around us. We went last November 2008 and the decorations were not quite up yet and the park had super short hours. No fireworks, either.

I'd go for the later dates.
