That does NOT sound like fun!

I've been cleaning out my "favorites" list. That's not fun either, but man did it need it! It's going to take me weeks to finish. Just spent an hour and a half on one topic.

SoKay, you're doing magnets and fe gifts so I refuse to believe you are not creative.

Got my evening bags cut out AND took a 2 hour nap.
Have a good night!

I do alot of surfing the Disboards for the magnets and the FE is comng along with the help of the other members of the family. I couldnt glue anything without getting my fingers stuck together. But thanks for the motivation to try to be creative. I'm gonna need it to get me thru this last month of prepping.:worship:

Boxes Sent the Ship Ahead of Cruise - PLEASE follow these instructions carefully!!!!!! UPDATED AS OF 2/25/2009
• ONE box per stateroom, no exceptions.
• The package must have the guest full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.
• The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.
• NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC.. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.
• The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 lbs. (This has been asked personally by Dave Adams who is the owner)

Address your package(s) to:
Disney Cruise Line Warehouse
Guest Name / Stateroom # (GTY, if you don't know what it is when you send the package)
8633 Transport Drive
Orlando, FL 32832
Phone: 407-566-8196

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information: ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING
*Name
*Sail Date
*Ship
*Stateroom Number
*Packing slip that details contents of the package (for prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient)
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 7-Night Cruise on the Disney Magic (Saturday).
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 4-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Sunday).
• Packages must arrive by Wednesday by 3:00pm for the 3-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Thursday).

If your box is hit on by the screening dog or chosen for additional screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back up and provided nothing bad is in it then it will be in your room as usual later after boarding. These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail among other things so they may be in the staterooms later then they were before as they are low priority in the scheme of things for Disney.

Howdy all,
Nice to be back to relax some. We made lots of progress getting my mom moved out and Gregs mom moved in. One more weekend and she will be moved in, but Greg still has to tear off the back porch and put on a larger better one, then a new roof. Sow e are busy every weekend until we cruise.

I get tired just watching him.
Couldnt visit my mom, she was not doing well. I did have a monthly evaluation with the nurse though. So it was a very busy weekend.

Now tomorrow they are saying 95 and in the nineties for a few days. Not looking forward to that. I need to bake a birthday cake tuesday morning. I will have to do it early so I wont heat us up too much.

catch everyone tomorrow, i am tired tonight,

Kathy

Hi cruisers -

Checking in from the weekend. My girls and I went up to St. Augustine (FL) for the weekend to visit with my mom and stepdad. DH was in Philly this weekend to go to the Eagles home opener and then flies to Anaheim, CA tomorrow for a conference out there.

Traci, sorry to hear about you and Nate now. Crazy flu bugs, huh? And, that's awful about your employer giving you any grief. Shame on those healthcare companies!

Add me to the list of NON-scrappers... really not so crafty. I do have an interest in trying out some digital scrapping though. It's on my "someday" list.

As for 7 weeks from today (well, this morning). At 9am we'll be pulling out of our driveway and making the 45 minute trek over to the Port! Call me nuts, but I really like to be there no later than 10:30, though ideally right at 10am sharp! I want every single minute of vacation that I can get. :thumbsup2

Gotta go see if I can dig up any scrap of info about tomorrow morning's big reservation openings for the Alaska and Med cruises. We have a phantom ressie that is just waiting to be transfered!

Good Morning, everyone!

Gym and pool done, breakfast eaten, time to move along.

Glad you are home safe and sound, Kathy! Is Gregs mom moving into your mom's house, or are we talking two different houses, here:confused3 Either way, it sounds like a lot of work!

Tracy hope you guys are way better this morning.

See you at lunch time!

Good morning all,

Linda Gregs mom bought my moms place. So as we move out my moms stuff we are remodeling and moving his mom in. We only have a recliner and TV to remove friday night then saturday we will finish moving Gregs mom in.
Its been a long few months but there is still much to do for her after she moves in. She needs help to unpack and as I stated above Greg has more remodeling to do. It was extremely hard for me to let go of moms place but I am also happy it is still in the family.:goodvibes

Well we were 45 this morning but they say 94 this afternoon. Tomorrow the first day of fall is suppose to be 97??:confused3 I dont think mother nature got the message that fall is here. It will be hot all week.

Today I am not feeling 100% so will be moving a bit slower. I have lots of laundry to do and I need to keep working on my FE gfts. Since we leave on Nov 1st I need to get with it. At least i have everything here to make them now.

I hope all of you had a great weekend.
Traci, I sure hope you and Nate get back to 100% soon:grouphug:

I'll check back around my lunch time.

Kathy

We leave October 30th, so I'm right there with you, Kathy. Gosh I wish you were moving back home to Florida. Hope you feel better later.

We signed up on the PC this morning, and bagged the westbound transatlantic. I just dreaded that flight to Barcelona. I'm happy.

Now, back to sewing.

Hi Linda,
boy I am jealous you are getting both ways on the 2010 cruise:p
It must be great to be retired so you can have that many days to cruise in a row:goodvibes
I am dreading that long flight, hopefully I will sleep some. I have been saving hard to try and upgrade from coach to business class for better seats. It is looking good for $$, just hope they will have 2 openings when the time comes.

You can be thinking of me on that L O N G flight while your relaxing and enjoying yourself.:rolleyes1 I expect you to be there clapping as we board.;)

We still hope to get back to Florida, but it may be a couple of years still. Family comes first plus a good job for Greg. Looks like we may rent out house again . Nothing is selling right now.

OOPs just realised your not going to do the TA now but doing the PC instead. Now I feel badly we wont be cruising again together.
I liked it better the way I first read your post. We will miss you guys!!

Kathy

Thanks Kathy!!!!!:cheer2:

Lind a-

Congrats on the PC! I would love to do that cruise but that's a lot of days of school - and work for DH - to miss. Hmmm... someday.
I was going to try to look into the Alaska cruises this morning but the wait times were over 100+ minutes. Whoa... too long for this attention-deficient DISer (read: impatient)!

I just wanted to say "Hello" to all my fellow FE Disney friends. I have never posted to anything before but thought maybe I should try to get to know all of you.
Today I spent the day reading all the 93 pages of the FE thread. Somewhere along the line (I think it was Linda) asked if there were any other adopted kids in the group. The two little girls with us are adopted but are coming with Grandma and Aunt, not Mom and Dad. They both arrived just shy of one year. Will try to stay up with this group until we meet on the ship but it's a pretty fast moving group.

:yay: Welcome :yay: to our group. We are more than happy to have ya. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. We are all super excited about the cruise.

thanks for all of the sweet post. I am feeling better today but not back at full speed. The doctor told me not to go back till Wed. I got a note for work. And Nathan does still have high fever but he went to the doctor today and gots some meds. I am sure he will be back to bouncing around soon. Tim reminded me that it was good that we got this not and not later like cruise time:scared1:. So I will be glad for that. So anything new?

Have a great day. Kathy sorry you are not feeling well. Hope you get back to normal soon. Moving is such hard work and takes a lot out of ya.

Oh, Traci, so glad you are better and have a couple extra days off to really recouperate.

Welcome bjkjoy! (I'll probably wind up calling you bokchoy, lol, I have ADD too.) How old are the girls? My borrowed grand babies are 3 and 4.

Kathy, I'll miss sailing with you on that cruise too, but unfortunately even YOUR PRESENCE wasn't sufficient to overcome my "fear of flying" :( With the PC, I can fly on Southwest, where it's more comfortably familiar. But then, the Nanaheads reunion is later that same year, right?

WELCOME Julylady's, mom:lmao:

I think your name is Bonnie? Right?
Your correct Linda was asking because her firends who are coming along have 2 adopted girls too.:thumbsup2

I hope you will post often. Dont let the speed of people posting scare you away. If you don't have time to go back and read a ton of posts, just read what you can and then say hello:goodvibes

Your grandkids will have a Magical time.:woohoo:

Looking forward to seeing you around here more often now that you've introduced yourself.

Kathy

Yes the reunion is the saturday after Thanksgiving 2011 but some have already jumped ship for Alaska, soem want to do B to B 3 & 4 day so they can be on the new ship. We had thought the new ship would do 7 day and the Magic take over the Wonders cruises but thats NOT what is going to happen.
We really dont want to do a 3/4 day cruise. Just 2 ports. Nassau and CC.
So at this point i think they would be smarter to go for 2012 and would be on a new ship for sure and perhaps more will be coming then.?? So I dont know what will happen there. We may or may not have a reunion cruise.

We will have to wait and see I guess. We have even thought about not doing it and doing something different since so many have jumped ship already.

Kathy

2012 would work. Let's keep in touch and see if we can't work out a compromise for sailing together on a new ship.

Got the first bag half sewed. It still needs the zipper, but I need to do that in the morning sunshine with a wide awake brain.

Kathy - Yes, I am Bonnie. It isn't that I don't have time to spend on reading. I am retired so I don't have that excuse. The two little girls are 5 and 8 and have been with us in Michigan since they were each 11 months old.

Howdy all,

well it is 44 outside this morning but heading for 100 by late afternoon:eek:

I need to bake a cake still today. I wanted to be done already but I am still not feelign well so I am moving slow today. Greg is also not feeling 100% today.

Not much else happening here for now. I will keep working at my FE gifts if I feel up to it. They are coming along and I should finish in plenty of time.:thumbsup2

Have a great day everyone and I will check back later if I feel ok,

Traci, hope you and DS are doing better today:goodvibes

Kathy

Good morning everyone. On my way to ecotourism and accounting classes, fun tuesday, lol. Hope everyone has a great day, and I hope everyone that is sick starts feeling better. I know sickness is rampant here at UF.
