Ok, I believe this is a summary of todays discussions.

We are meeting in the Promenade lounge at 2:45 to 3:00 P.M. the first afternoon and will leave around 3:45 so people can be ready for the safety muster. Everyone seems to agree on that so far.

Some havnt posted yet how they feel.

Most are interested in Bracelets which Shauna is going to keep us posted on and take care of for us. Thanyou
Shauna did ask what we wanted written on them, please give her some ideas.
I think Shaunas question got lost in all the frenzy today.
I like St. Croix then the date but will be happy with anything you want. I am easy to please. Now everyone post your opinions of what to have on the bracelets.

We do have a few who want t-shirts as well as bracelets.

For anyone who wants to do their own shirts from the logos Traci posted we need to vote on which one you like the best so we will be the same picture.
Personally I like the first of the logos Traci posted for us, but as I said above I am happy with any of them as long as I am on the ship I am happy

Please post your vote for the logos so we can get started on them.:thumbsup

Traci is keeping the FE extender list for everyone, Thanks Traci.

Gail also proposed we meet on thursday for lunch just to visit and see how everyones week is going?
Gail this is your call. everyone who is interested please speak up. I know its hard to know what you'll be doing on thursday at lunch time. some eat early or late due to events on board. some the buffet, some restaurants.

Gail tell us what your thinking and we can pick a place and time. Love to meet for a visit towards the end of the week. Great idea!!


Is anyone interested in the cruise mates list like i mentioned earlier? I can add all this meet information to the list too so we have it all on hand to remember. I can PM everyone to get your information if people would like to have the list. Let me know.

We made alot of great planning decisons today, I thought it was alot of fun.
I cant wait to hear from others to post their ideas too. You guys have some great ideas.

Wow, you go to the beach for a day and a lot can happen!! I think they might be right about you Kathy, you have lots of time on your hands. Thank goodness you do!!

I love the meet idea. We will be there!

I also love the bracelets. I am not so crazy about shirts, but I could still be convinced. I think lanyards are a great idea, or what about even something like bandanas? They can be worn many ways so people could do their own thing with them, and then there is no concern about sizing, fit, etc.

Thanks Traci for keeping the FE list. I guess I better get to work on making my FE, and on figuring out what to bring for everyone. I have an idea...

Having a list of everyone in our group is a great idea also.

You ladies are my heroes. I love that you are so gung-ho and excited about our trip! Until recently, I thought I was the only one so nutty!

From what I've read, don't make it more than 8" wide. 8" seems to be perfect.

Well, it's been so long since I posted that my account was deactivated!

I can't believe cruising mates of MINE have a deactivated account. Oh the shame of it all! Better get some more posts in there and earn back your ears!

Wristbands- Love them so let me know when it is time to order. Just so I can have one that fits but if we can order sizes, that will be great. The Ahoy St. Croix would be great and if enough room, the date as well.

DIS Meet - PL at 3:00 is fine.

DIS Luncheon - Thursday at noon in Lumiere's. We will need some sort of head count to let them restaurant know. I will post something by itself toward the end of October. You will not be locked in (we are on vacation and there will be other things to do), just a rough idea so I can let them know.

Shirts - I probably won't do them but one never knows....

DIS List - I started one a long time ago so I could keep track but it is so outdated. That would be great Kathy if you want to do one for us.

Greg got a couple of extra days off so we can spend 3 days at the parks before the cruise.

I am really looking forward to that. I miss living close to WDW and zipping over there almost every weekend for a great day.

We will be at Saratoga Springs in the later part of the afternoon on Friday for an evening at DTD, picking up our rental and then travelling to the port via some sort of grocery store in the morning. Our flight doesn't arrive until almost 3:00 on Friday so it will be a fast visit but with 2 weeks on the Magic, I can give up my park time.

Well, it's been so long since I posted that my account was deactivated! But we are looking forward to meeting everyone on the cruise and watching the Eagles beat the Cowboys on Sunday night!

Previous Cruise: September 2004

Ok, so I know that it has been forever since I posted, but Dan and I are still going on this cruise. I made my final payment and booked my excursions, and a Palo brunch, so I am really going!! I can't believe that it is less than three months away. We have been super busy around here. What started out as replacing a ceiling in my living room, turned into totally gutting it We still aren't completely finished. Still have some trim left to put in the hallway.
I am so ready for this cruise. I need a vacation.
Anyway, I have been trying to keep up with everything and everyone. Please add Dan and I to the FE. I actually got started on my gifts for it. Is there a list anywhere? I wanted to get a count to date.
As for the meet, I love the idea of meeting in the Promenade lounge. The only other one that I did, we met in the terminal, and then on deck nine during the sail away party, and I agree, it is just way to noisy. I like the idea of making our own t-shirts, but then I am a t-shirt sort of gal. We usually make shirts when we go to Disney and wear matching shirts during the time we are there, so I was already thinking of making one for us to wear when we get on the ship. So making one more would not be a big deal for us. I like the first picture also.
Gail, I really like the idea of getting together for lunch on Thursday, maybe we could all just meet in one of the restaurants at a set time?
Anyway, I will try to post more in the future.

Hi Gang!

I like the first design - it's nice and general. Even though I'd prefer not a tee shirt, if dh wants one, i'll make it for him. And definitely put it on my door.

Bracelet - I vote for Lime Green, Ahoy St. Croix and the date - at least month and year if it will fit.

Once I get the data from Kathy's list, I'll put it in a sortable spreadsheet to make it easier to deliver FE gifts.

Lunch - who the heck knows what they're going to be doing the second
Tuesday at noon? I don't know what I'm going to be doing today at 5 pm!
Now, I gotta go back 5 pages and see what i've missed!

*Disnae, if your hubby has a mess dress that will be perfect for formal night - AND he will get the attention and gratitude that he is due as a military member. I've seen several on every cruise. Unfortunately, retirees can't wear them in non-command social situations, or my dh would have one, too. He refuses to wear a tux, though.

People wear everything from 'church dresses' to formal clothes, especially the ladies. I have the classic little black dress - I know - bor-ing! But then, I'm an old lady. lol

On our first cruise in 2004, there was a large group of DISers wearing lime green matching shirts. To be honest, DH and I were a bit afraid of them. We thought they were a bunch of crazy people lol. I didn't learn about the DIS until after that cruise. Now the "crazy" lime green people make sense.

Um, Shauna . . . would that have been the 7 day after thanksgiving? That was us! and about 100 of our friends!

I started on page 1 of this thread and worked my way all the way up to this page sending PM's to everyone about sending me their information for the list. We have a lot of families on this cruise, they just havnt posted in awhile.
I was pleasantly surprized to find so many families here.

Wouldn't that have been funny! No, it was the 7 day right before Halloween. I didn't even hear about the DISboards until that cruise--I didn't know what I was missing!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! It is supposed to be a beautiful day here today. We will be spending the week before the cruise in the parks. We will be staying at our timeshare, so will need to rent a car for the week. I hope to spend a few days in WDW and also go to Seaworld. Will need to go to DTD to get a little bit of Christmas shopping done.

We're going to try, too. Not that I don't love my SPH room! I'd just love a balcony more. I would guess that everyone participating in the FE must go to the meet, where any room changes can be announced.

beautiful morning here today.


If you change rooms maybe you could announce it at the meet so everyone has you new room number??
Maybe we should all bring our FE lists to the meet so if anybody has an upgrade we can change their room number so they wont miss out on their gifts, that would be terrible. This is likely to happen to a few people.


Does anybody else have a better idea??


Thankyou everyone for responding so fast for the list informations. I have lots of people to add to it this morning.

We still havn't got any excursions picked out, just been too busy to look and Greg worked late last night. Hopefully we will get to that tonight.


For those who want to do a shirt, so far everyone has said they liked the first icon that was posted.
Do we need more to vote or should we just use that one?

Right there with ya, Christine. We're in 5524, it's one of the most obstructed views.
We're actually waiting with much anticipation for FL resident rates to be announced. They're up through October 17th so fingers are crossed for our sailing date. In that case, we either decided to bank the $$ difference, or upgrade to a verandah. DH votes for the verandah. He claims he actually pays for the cruise so he gets to decide. It's one of the few, if only times, I actually let him get his way!

I am all for the bracelets and the tee shirts (if it is decided to do so). I think meeting the first day. I think that will be great fun.

Well I am off to go see what class my daughter will be in. She starts kindergarten tomorrow. I am so excited to actually have some time for myself again.
