November 7, 2009 ~~~~ AHOY ST.CROIX ~~~~

Traci when we lived in Florida so I didnt have to worry about airlines and weight of luggage i did alot extra for the kids too. It's just so much fun its hard to limit yourself sometimes.
Now with flying across the U.S. I am more conservative.
I'm sure Linda will get you straightened out on your cricut. I want to get one after we get back into a house again. They look like alot of fun.

I spent most of my afternoon sorting through old magazines and papers to get rid of. I can't believe how fast junk adds up around here. I also have some things ready to go to the storage unit for the winter which will give more room for us.

Catch everyone later,

Kathy

Good MORNING, St. Croix Cruisers!

30 chilly degrees here this morning! I wish I was in St. Croix NOW!

30 here as well - with an inch of snow predicted for tomorrow. Oh boy - I can hardly wait!

But, on a brighter note, I had a good weekend and now I can say we leave 3 weeks from Friday. Counting down, down, down.

Cold here too but, it's Michigan so what else would I expect. Hey, we have a question and I wonder what the rest of you are doing. Are you writing on your gift bags who they are from or doing it incognito?

We are putting a card that has our name and dis name on them so you know they are from us.

Good Morning everyone, It is cold here this morning here too. We left Thursday night and spent the weekend with my son in Indy and went to the covered Bridge festival in Parke County. That is a two week festival that covers several towns. Friday it rained on us all day. Not real hard, but a steady drizzle, but we took rain ponchos and had a good time anyway. Saturday anad Sunday were nice. I took a vacation day today, so I am home for the day, hoping to get my FE gifts finished, and my scrap pages done. I did get mys scrap page designed, and did do the Embarkation page. I hope everyone likes it. I hope to get all of them finished today. Then all I have to do is make up door signs and pack. We to will be leaving two weeks from this Friday.
Traci, glad Tim is home and recovering, I can't help you much with your Cricut, I am learning on mine also.
We will also put a note in our FE bags to let everyone know they are from us.
Have a great day everyone.
Vickie

Good morning, we are also in the low 30's this morning and frost is everywhere. 27 for tonight:scared1: Then rain is coming the rest of the week.

I never put our names on our gifts. I like it to be a mystery:goodvibes
If someone asks me direct if I left ### as the gift they received I will say yes, but I think its fun to just leave things quietly and secretly.

Not much happening here today. Just some housework and thinking about door signs.
Since we leave on the 1st I have less time than some of you. I need to keep busy getting ready. This weekend will be the cleaning the cruise clothes work.

Have a great day everyone,

I'll check back later, I am going to snuggle under a warm blanket for a bit to keep warm.:goodvibes

Hi Everyone!

We are back from the cottage, brrr. it was chilly. It was about 40, we were cold even with our jackets. Should have had winter coats on really. We did some work in the yard, raking and whatnot, although most of the leaves are still on the trees. They are starting to turn colour, but next week and the week after will be when the real fall colour show will happen. :thumbsup2
And of course we had the big turkey dinner for Thanksgiving. Thank you for all of your nice wishes to us up north here. Myself and my kids are vegetarian, so we had all the trimmings plus baked beans and mac and cheese, but no turkey. It was fun and very yummy.

Now back to work on these FE gifts...
Traci, I am glad to hear that Tim is feeling better.
Kathy, stay warm!

Good Afternoon, St. Croix Cruisers!

Just checking in to say Hi!

Was browsing around on the main DIS board and read that Clayton will be our CD. He's awesome!:thumbsup2
Also, have you all seen the pics of the newest Castaway Club gifts? A different style red/black bag than in the past 2 years and various goodies in it. Also, the lanyards are now different colors based on Club Level.

Four weeks from today we'll be on our 2nd Sea Day!

I can't help with your cricut (other than I am jealous) but I have shipped to the port several times so if you have questions, ask away and I will be happy to respond. Works like a charm and I have never had an issue. In fact it has always been in our cabin when we arrive.

is there a weight limit that can be shipped. Like size of box. I guess the info might be on the Faq page. All of the kids gifts are packaged up and ready to go but they dont all fit in my carryon luggage. And I dont want them to get smashed and I dont want to pay a fortune to mail all of them. Advice? Cuz Tim thinks I have lost my mind.

Traci, this should help you.

Boxes Sent the Ship Ahead of Cruise - PLEASE follow these instructions carefully!!!!!! UPDATED AS OF 2/25/2009
• ONE box per stateroom, no exceptions.
• The package must have the guest full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.
• The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.
• NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC.. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.
• The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 lbs. (This has been asked personally by Dave Adams who is the owner)

Now i will be bugging the mailman next week for our docs. :goodvibesSometimes UPS delivers them, sometimes the mailman does.
I dont care which brings them this time as long as they get here soonpopcorn::

Kathy

My guess is that my docs will take a couple weeks to come. We used a TA, and I think they get sent there first. It is fun to hear that the docs are being shipped--that means our cruise is coming soon!

I know some of the wristband payments are on the way (don't get mail today) but if you haven't let me know that your payment is on the way, please let me know the status. I have a couple people who I haven't heard from. If paypal is easier that is fine too, just let me know.

Less than 4 weeks to go, how exciting!!!!:banana::banana:

Hi all!!

I can't believe i am only just now finding out about this web forum....:sad2:
a friend just told me about it. oh well. I'm still super exctied about this cruise as it's getting much much closer! :woohoo:

My husband and I are taking our little boy, who is going to be 9 1/2 months at the time of the cruise. He's our only one but we're hoping to have another one soon so this will be our last cruise for a little while, but our son just LOVES mickey mouse and we'd been on a disney cruise for our honeymoon and loved it. So the perfect family vacation!

So what's going on on with everyone? I'm new to this, can anyone sort of catch me up on all this?

Thanks, loooking forward to cruising with you!

Hannah
