NOVEMBER 5th 3 day WONDER!!

H

Depends (well not literally depends :lmao:) Sorry!
What I started to say was depends on whether you are planning on dining at Palo as I don't think pirate outfits or swimwear are acceptable dinner attire at Palo. Personally, I would take a light jacket. It can get cool at night on the upper outdoor decks. Or at least I thought so and we cruised just about this same time last year, Nov 2-6.
what do you teach, I mean grade wise. I'm figuring from your post, it's children of some sort. :rotfl: Can you tell how tired and punchy I am with the corny jokes? LOL

:rotfl:
Puts a smile on my face! I teach k-5th grade technology/Spanish. The kicker is, I don't speak Spanish! you figure it out, because I sure can't! Okay, if you insist, I will go through my closet this weekend and dig up some more clothes! Two weeks from today, we'll be on that ship!!!!!

okay, not that i'm counting days......:lmao:

the FE group list looks AWESOME thanks so much for making that easy~

looking forward to the goodies :dance3:me, dd9 and dd7 finally got ours together!!!!

Like I told my brother. If a hurricane hits, there will be one fat boy sitting in a lounge chair on deck 10, getting soaked, and eating a very runny mickey bar. But I'll still be smiling. :thumbsup2[/QUOTE]

Make that "2" fat boys suckin on Mickey Bars my boy....... My brother is the paranoid type because he usually has every minute of every day planned out for our WDW trip....which is good, cause I'm the complete opposite.

I would like to invite you all to envoke the Gillhoolie "Meh" mentality and RELAX.....remember.....VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I forget anything, I'll either ask for it from housekeeping, buy it in the ship store, or do without! And for weather.....what can you do???

Hey, I'm on a short 3 day vacation, and I'm gonna enjoy it no matter what .....so bring on Mother Nature, she won't ruin it for me!!!:cool1:

.........and no, I haven't started to pack yet.......We're all gonna have a ball!!!!!

This cruise is pure relaxation for us too. We don't even have plans to go to the dinning rooms, no schedules for us. We have Palo one night, another we want to do Topsiders/Beach Blanket (can't remember which is on the wonder) and we don't know for the other night. I plan on doing our tips the first day and slipping in quick at dinner time to give them out.

Question as I feel I am missing something- what is all this talk about a hurricane?? I haven't heard of anything. Last Sept we couldn't got to Castaway Cay for our double dip due to the high seas but we we're ready for that one. And yes- it's vacation and we'll all have a great time realxing!

I really do hope you're joking about the hurricane. The last time my DH and I went on a cruise was Nov 1-4th 2007 on the Wonder. Hurricane Noel was in the Atlantic and the Disney Magic was rerouted to Nassau. It was so breathtaking to see the Magic and Wonder next to eachother. This was one of the only times in the ship's history that the two ships have been docked together. We were able to get some great photos.

It is going to be a quick trip for us with no park visit. I am hoping we will be able to get into "vacation mode" right off the bat. I'm guessing our shopping stop on the way to the ship will help with that. :drinking1 Ha-ha! We are doing a few excursions but keeping things pretty low key. (sting ray's and garden tour/marching flamingos:confused3) We are sending the 20 somethings snorkeling since they have never been. I have finally settled into packing. Trying to pack light is a challenge for me. It's hard to pull out the shorts for a trip when you are dressed in your woolies!!!:cold: Can't wait to meet everyone on board!

Anyone doing any excursions?

We are getting a couples message (ooh la la):rotfl2: and after reading a post from someone who just got off the Wonder, I decided to book the Graycliff Wine and Cheese Pairing. I LOVE CHEESE!! Here's the information on it:

Graycliff Wine and Cheese Pairing (1 1/2 hours)
Graycliff's Wine & Cheese Pairings will take participants through eight wine tastings — four red and four white — each paired with cheeses from around the world, along with a tour of the famed wine cellar, topped off with a wine themed souvenir for each participant. At the conclusion of your experience, you may choose to return directly to the pier, or stay to enjoy a meal at the restaurant at an additional cost. - A minimum of eight wine and cheese pairings are included. -Wheelchairs need to be standard size and collapsible; no electric wheelchairs permitted. -Guests will travel by air-conditioned van or mini-bus. Transportation time is approximately 10 minutes each way. -This excursion includes a 15 minute walk to and from the pick-up point. -Guests who choose to stay at the Graycliff Restaurant will be responsible for their own taxi transport back to the pier. Guests are encouraged to bring credit cards (for food and souvenirs) as some vendors do not accept cash.
Price: Adult $189.00(21 & up)

I'm getting so excited!

trying to find some clothes to wear to dinner! Weren't you the one who told me I couldn't wear my bathing suit to dinner?:rotfl:

You're right though, it is very quiet today!

I'm packing! :laundy: Next weekend is going to be crazy around here with Halloween, so I figured I would get cracking. So..........is it too late to start that pre-cruise diet? :lmao:

So DW & I are looking for a small bit of advice. We have a meal booked @ Palo on the first night, and had some attire questions. We read through the Navigators from our first cruise and it sounds like what we were planning on wearing (me: dress shirt & tie, khaki pants, dw: nice blouse, dressy skirt) would be ok. We were reading somewhere else (I forget where at the moment) that women should have dresses or pant-suits, but the male attire would be similar to what I had listed for myself. Seems like a bit of a double-standard if men can get away with what most would consider a bit more dressed down than women. Would you think what we both have planned would be acceptable? DW & I are hoping that she would be able to wear what she has planned, or she might have to get something new. Our plan is to wear what we have, and hope what we have is good enough for them. If we do get turned away, that would be kind of a lousy start to our vacation.

As far as excursions, we don't really have anything planned at this time. We're not even sure if we'll be getting off of the boat in Nassau. We might just hang around on the ship & play bingo, eat, and go to movies.

I can't wait to be on vacation!!! I only have 5 days of work left after today, and I only have 1.25 hours left in my shift today. Vacation is alllllllllmost here pirate:pirate:pirate:

your wife's offit sounds perfect. I have seen women w/ pant suits, dresss and skirts go to Palo's. They do have a dress code and you're following it. Enjoy- it's vacation! can't wait to be on the ship!!!

We thought that we were both within the acceptable range of attire for dinner there...I was pretty much hoping for someone to reassure me/us. Thank you!!!

DH wore a suitcoat when we went but there were plenty of men in ties only. :hippie:

That's a bit revealing for my taste...and I'd want the other diners to be able to keep their food down.
