November 5th 2011 Eastern on the Magic

Long story, but the short of it I was strength training in my garage with a friend (my friend came over once a week and we'd workout together), and it had just snowed outside and so as all of you know that come from states that snow, when it snows, your car tracks in lots of sand in the garage from the sand the sand trucks put on the streets. Well, I was on a big yoga ball (you know those big workout stability balls you can it on), and I was resting on it on my back while I was doing a chest press with dumbbells. Well, the ball was accidentally put on just a little bit of sand that my DH's car had tracked into our garage, and that created (unbeknownst to me) a very slippery surface. So, when I was done with the chest press exercise, I went to get up off the ball, and the ball slid out from under me and I came crashing down RIGHT on my Sacrum (big lower bone in your lower back) directly on the concrete floor and it fractured!!!! :scared1: My friend was supposed to be spotting me, but wasn't... If my friend had been spotting me, this would most likely not had happened... that is the long story, which i won't go into. But, my friend felt horribly bad, and we worked it out. There was a lot of "in hindsight" talk going on, too.... "I should have done this, I should have done that...", but like we all say, hindsight is 20/20.

See this is why I don't exercise, too dangerous! That and I'm lazy. But glad it got better, it is a miserable injury, basically, it's a broken tush and there's nothing you can do about it. Here's to safe cruising for all!

:lmao: This is exactly what my friends who don't really exercise said to me.... that this is proof that exercise is a hazzard to your health!! :lmao: Cracks me up! :rotfl2:

Well, for me, I am way too of an active person to not exercise, so I still exercise, but I'm just extra extra careful now!!! :)

Haha yes Kathy I did receive my documents!!!

Me Too !!

We can cry together

You should have some pull with the Big Man upstairs, so ask him to please hurry our docs along:littleangel:

Kathy

Ok, I am going to bed now to dream that the mailman will bring our docs tomorrow.

Since we live on the West Coast it will take 3 to 4 days for Florida mail to reach us.

So I will have to be patient, like thats going to happen :rolleyes1

Good night all,

Kathy

I got my luggage tags for Disney Coronado Springs the week before the cruise but nothing for the cruise yet.:lmao: I thought I had them.

On a side note I am hoping the cruise line will be showing Lion King 3D and Real Steel in the Theater.

At the risk of sounding like a total idiot, do I have to do something to get cruise documents?? I have a registration and email confirmation.....do I need something else? I did most of the online check in but did not book my rental car yet. They want that info on the check in. We also opted not to get passports...since it is a closed loop we don't need them. So I do have to do some kind of check in at the port.
Sorry all, I'm a newbie and really appreciate your wisdom!

I'm with you. I thought by doing the online registration and check in, that's all we have to take. I must be wrong!

Your documents will come automatically. It has nothing to do with checkin on at the terminal.
It's just papers that shows your all paid up, the general cruise information, and for those who have a GTY room it will have their room numbers. Its just a bunch of information for you to see and to know that everything is in order.
Some people do not have computers to check in on line so for them this is really important to see everything is in order.

For those doing the cruise bus or had disney book them a hotel for the night before all that will be verified on those documents.

Everyone looks them over to make sure it is all correct. You can avoid a last minute problem by looking them over carefully.

I thought St. Maartin was considered being out of the country, so it wasnt a closed loop? They must have changed the rules since our last cruise. We were required to have passports or we couldnt go. Glad you didn thave to get them. It is spendy to do.

Not to worry. Nothing left to do. Docments are for double checking information and for those who cant check in on line. Many dont have computers or maybe not a printer so they still automatically send everyone their documents.

Its just exciting to receieve them because the cruise is that much more real.:cool1:

I always look forward to getting them.

We got our WDW hotel information last week too. I love the new hologram style luggage tags. Those should be easy for people ot spot when collecting our luggage.:thumbsup2

We havent stayed at Coronado Springs before but our son said its really a nice place.
We use to live a few minutes drive so never had to stay on property. But since we moved we have been staying on property. We try to stay a different olace each time, as long as the budget allows.
So far we have stayed at:
The Wilderness Lodge
Pop Century
All Star Sports (twice)
All Star movies
The cabins at the Wilderness Campground
This trip will be All Star Music

Next time we may try Animal Kingdom Lodge or Polynesian?? We did a pass holders only tour of the AK lodge before it opened to see the different rooms and it was really nice.

Michele,

I have read on the main boards that if you don't bring a passport that you need to bring a birth certificate. I would play it safe and for sure bring your birth certificates!! I know when we have checked in at port for the 7-day Eastern (and Western), they want to see our passports at the desk at the port, but like I said, I've read on the main DIS boards that they accept birth certificates, too. So, I'd throw those in your carry-on with all your other important docs, if you can.

Kathy

We have stayed at both the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Polynesian. Loved both of them, except.... might have been just me.... but we were at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in July, and I got EATEN ALIVE by mosquitos!!!! Oh my goodness, there are SO many mosquitos at the AKL, I think just because of the environment, because I did not see mosquitos at the parks. I think I got like 40 mosquito bites, seriously!

But, it might be we were there in the thick of mosquito season!! So, if you do go to AKL, try to go when it's not Mosquito season.

Btw, we LOVED the Polynesian!!! Loved it because it's so convenient and central, and a really cool hotel all together. :)
