November 4th, 2007 Disney Wonder Roll Call

For those who were lucky enough to dine at Palo, which was better? Brunch or Dinner??

I don't know about dinner, but brunch was yummy and we had the cutest waiter ever! The food looked so good and I wished we could have tried everything. The only negative was that my dh's english muffin was overcooked on his eggs benedict, but they quickly corrected it and our waiter apologized profusely.

Hey everyone!

I just got home yesterday afternoon. We stayed an extra 3 days in order to spend time with family, and go to MGM and Sea World. We had a connecting flight on the return. The first half went fine...on time and all. The second one from Atlanta to NJ was delayed an hour. Aside from that it was ok.

The cruise was WONDERFUL!!!! My children would have spent all thier time in the clubs if you let them!

I never did manage to find the way to get to the deck 7 get together. I was very happy to meet Monica! :wave2: Hi Monica! We saw each other a few times throughout the cruise and at Palo brunch. Palo was incredibly YUMMY!!!! Will DEFINITELY be doing that again! Hopefully since we are going on a 7 day we can do a brunch and a dinner.

We too, can not wait to sail again on a Disney cruise! We are trying to see how we can swing a 7 day in 2 years.

I will be writing a trip report on this trip shortly.

Only negative from the trip was my DD losing her digital camera. She had taken it to dinner at Animators Palate one evening and left it at the table. The waiter said he saw it there but assumed it belonged to the family that was sitting there. He thought they would be honest and turn it in to lost and found. But we looked and no such thing. She is heartbroken since she had her pics from the pool at Port Orleans French Quarter there. I didn't take my camera with me when we went to the pool, so now we have no photos whatsoever of the kids enjoying thier time at the pool.

Oh well. I hope whoever took it needed it that badly.

Sorry that happened to you - at least in my case the few that I did happen to get off from my Sony were still available to upload. It really stinks when you lose pictures like that. I once lost 2 full years of pictures from a hard drive crash. It was from when Olivia was 2-3 and I'll never get those back. Those were the only pics we had of her from that time period. I know now to back up ALL my pics to an external hard drive... but there's nothing you can do about a lost/stolen camera.

You'd like to think people are better than that, and most are. Your daughter's camera just ended up in the hands of one of the few in this world today that just don't get it...

Definitely. It was hard explaining to her that not everyone is "honest and fair" one of the girl scout laws we teach our girls at girl scouts.

I am so sorry to hear about your lost pics of Olivia! That is my worst fear! I begged and pleaded with DH to get an external hard drive and I think I wore him down. We have them all backed up and I have several CD's in our safety deposit box in the bank. Can never be too safe, you know? You can never gain those back. What is ironic, 2 weeks after we purchased our external hard drive and transfered the data, our old PC crashed! DH was so relieved that we had them all backed up.

How did Olivia enjoy the cruise?

How did Olivia enjoy the cruise?

Olivia is 6 now and she LOVED the cruise. She says best vacation she's ever had. Asked her if she wanted to go back next year or go to WDW and she says the cruise... so... I don't know we'll have to see.

Thanks for asking!

Made it back home swiftly and safely - landed back in Philadelphia around 2:30 p.m. Thursday 11/8.

Totally, totally exhausted but had a fabulous time.

Sorry I didn't meet more people - I kept bumping into Patty and Rich and Chris but didn't find the rest of the gang.

Looking forward to reading all your post cruise posts!!!!

I haven't done an actual count but I think we took close to 700 pictures!!!
(Probably not as many as Joe!!!)

Hi Deb - it was a fabulous cruise, wasn't it ?(your pirate outfit was GREAT!). We made it back to Newark Liberty about 3:05pm on 11/8 and HAD to go pick up Zak (our dog) as soon as we reached home.( I had bought him a "Pluto" paw squeaky toy, so he has forgiven us for leaving him).
It's so exciting that you have another cruise to count down to!! Did you start that thread yet?

We enjoyed meeting and spending time with you, Kris and Don (:wave2:), Steph, and Monica. It was a most memorable time!
P.S. Rich and I both have colds, too, since flying home - they say that happens on planes. Hope you're feeling well soon. Happy Thanksgiving!

We made it home very late last night. Our flight from Orlando was delayed (and I had a very bad experience with security which made my sad mood go to grumpy), then we had to fly to Las Vegas and then to Oakland. We were so bummed to leave but it was nice to be home.

Hope everyone made it home safe and had a wonderful time. Our whole trip was perfect and we can't wait to cruise again. I'm hoping to write a trip report soon (even though I know no one will read it :lmao: ) because I want to preserve all these wonderful memories.

Kris, Patty and Carmen...it was nice to meet you! :wave2:

It was nice meeting you, too, and I AM going to read your trip report! popcorn:: Glad you're all home safe and sound - enjoy the holidays.
Patty

Hi everybody.... Just got home about an hour ago via the autotrain then a 4 hour drive to central PA. Guess what we had when we got home???
SNOW!!! We went from beautiful white sand and blue waters to SNOW:scared: :crazy2: What a bummer.

Monica sorry to hear about a not so great return flight(s).

It was wonderful to meet those that we did.

Joe, I think I saw you and your family on the tram at Castaway cay, but wasn't sure so I didn't call out your name.

Gotta go unpack and pay some attention to the dog, he's sitting here staring at me.;)

Catch you all later.
Hi Kris - Glad to hear you two had an uneventful trip home, but arriving there to SNOW :scared1: that must have been a shock to the system!
Richie and I enjoyed talking with you and Don the several times we bumped into you - seems like we've known you for years! Sorry about that tequila shot...maybe another time?
We can't believe the trip is over! :sad1: but we have wonderful memories and can't wait to get the pictures back (I still have an "old-fashioned camera"; oh, well...) Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Hi ChrisLei - sorry you didn't make it to the deck 7 "meet". The ones who did kept asking if anyone had met ChrisLei? but of course we didn't know what anyone looked like if they weren't at that get-together!:lmao: Saw one JetBlue plane on 10/31 several planes ahead of us (that morning was busy at Newark, wasn't it? ) and did "give a wave" as it took off.
Glad you had a wonderful trip.

I know most of you are gone and I've told you all that I was origially on the Wonder, Nov 4th trip and switched to the Nov 11th trip to get a Florida resident's discount, well, I had to have an emergency appendectomy yesterday and would not have been able to go on the cruise after all!!! Isn't that weaird that I switched???? Is it divine intervention or Mickey intervention???? Hope you all have fun!!!! let me know how it was......
Hi drc712 - Hope you are feeling much better by now and it IS amazing how things all work out for a reason.
We had gorgeous weather on the cruise and CC was absolutely fabulous - our favorite part of the trip... so now you have a wonderful trip to look forward to next year. :cloud9:

I am still here. We will be leaving on Sunday morning early, The deck party is at 3:15 pm or 3:30 pm. We will try and get there at that time.

Don't feel bad. I still have a list a mile long to get things done before we leave on Sunday.

See you on the wonder,

Stephanie :dance3:
Hey Steph - Glad you made it the last minute to the deck 7 get-together on the Wonder. It was nice meeting you - that Galley Tour was fun...you were keeping the chef on his toes with all the questions. You were right about being able to get anything you want in the restaurants...they arranged for us to have dessert at Palo (at 11pm) - so I did get to try that famous chocolate souffle after all:thumbsup2 (highly recommended!)

We made it home safe and sound on Monday 11/12. Orlando was fun but a little cold at night. We hated to come home on Monday. Had a great time on the cruise and getting to relax alittle.

So glad you got your dessert at Palo's . I had the chocolate souffle too and it was yummy. Palo's was the best food on the whole crusie. Food was good in the other restaurants but not knock your sock off good. Just OK. Guess because I am in the buzz I expect alot more. Who knows.

Glad everyone had a good time on the cruise. Looking to do it again with a whole bunch of people . Didn't hang out with many people just the family.

Monica The tread you are doing is great.

Take Care,
Stephanie :cheer2:

Hey Patty: Glad to hear from you. Sorry to hear that you and Rich also caught the airplane ick. Even though I went to the doctor, I'm still not back to myself. I've got to figure out how to do better next year so that I don't get this sick again. Have you every tried airborne? Maybe that will help.

Didn't need to start a cruise thread for next year - it was already there and over 10 pages long!!!! I checked in and will monitor it. We are going on the Western next November and my crew is really looking forward to it. Mike wants to make sure we are not going back to Nassau :rotfl:

I really have to get working on my pictures. We use a program on our computer to make slideshows with music DVD's. Hopefully I will find some energy to get this done.

Enjoyed pirate night (with the exception of one unfortunate incident) but I don't know if I will bring the whole get-up on the next cruise - It took up a lot of space and since the next cruise is a 7 night space will be at a premium.

Wishing you and Rich and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Debbie
