Hi Carmen! I was searching this am and figured no one had done a roll call lately. I have been away from planning d/t other life stuff!! Congrats on your 10th!!!!! We are with ya on the Wonder!!!! I do have to ask you since you are from Jersey are we traveling during Jersey Week in 2007? We went Nov. 2005 and had a great time but we avoided the crowds of Jersey week. We drove through parts of Jersey (that were pretty I might add) on our way to PA (Hershey - which was a blast) this summer. Anyway, Good to meet ya. This is only our second trip to WDW and Disney so I am sure you have great advice. Can't wait for the TRIP!!!!
Hi. Thanks for that info. We were thinking of going back to WDW after the cruise because if you book the 7 day land/sea you get 7 days of Park Hoppers and you only use 3 or in our case 4 because we always fly in Wednesday instead of THursday. I don't know yet.
I am debating staying at the Poly after the cruise again or the Animal Kingdom. My husband really liked the convenience of being on the monorail vs. taking buses. Any thoughts? Now that I know it is Jersey week I am unsure. How are the crowds?
We have two boys One will be 13 (I just can't be old enough for that) and one will be 7 almost eight - I think the same age as your oldest.
From what I understand the week of Jersey Week is busy....but not as busy as the summertime. This will be the first time I am going at that time. I ended up purchasing the land and sea portions separate so that I can buy only the 3 day park admissions instead of paying for and "losing" 4 days of the hopper. Not to mention, we tried the Dining Plan last year and LOVED it so we wanted to have the opportunity to obtain it again.
We are staying at the Port Orleans this time. We would like to eventually stay at the Poly on a future trip.
How wonderful that your youngest and my oldest are the same age!
Hi DISNEYPRPRINCESS and Henlady. How many more days!!!!???? At least it is less than a year now. DisneyPRPrincess we may be joining you at the Poly after the cruise! We are staying at the BC before. Henlady It's our second cruise also!!!! My husband doesn't want to cruise any other line.
Hi Jblrn. Dh won't even consider another cruiseline. I tried to get him to look at info on other cruises, but once he looked over the material, he said "Nope, its got to be a disney cruise". It will be just DH & I and maybe our 25yo son and his girlfriend. Haven't counted the days yet.
Yes, it is getting closer - 226 days, but still not close enough.
I noticed you'll be celebrating your 10th Anniversary. DH & I celebrated our 30th on our first Disney Cruise.
I find myself wanting to start putting "little" things away for the trip and am trying to refrain from doing that this early. I have so much going on in the next few months, I shouldn't even be thinking about the cruise yet, and DH says he's ready for the cruise just about every day.
The kids and I are always talking about the cruise! We are so ready! DH acts sometimes like it is no big deal, but whenever I tell him a good tip I have picked up he says "Wow that is great! Can't wait to be on the Ship!"
I too, find myself wanting to pick things up for the trip! I did purchase Disney bathing suits and matching flipflops for the kids at the end of last season. I also got a matching dress for DD and I. Now that I think if it I should have bought DS one too. But I figure I can find a polo shirt in a matching color for him and DH. What is hilarious is that I find myself purchasing things to use for the summer and thinking Wow this would fill another purpose to wear on the cruise too!
I am so excited to hear that I am not the only one who is OBSESSED!!!!
You can add my family to the mix-DH 43, myself 33, DD 6 and DD 3. My DD 6 is very shy so I would love for her to find a friend to meet up with at the club!

I am getting so excited as I see the ticker near the 6 month point! We too are all set to do ADR's for the land portion of our trip. DH and I already decided how to get to the port and all so it is slowly all coming together! (can't fathom waiting at the hotel till Disney Cruise Line bus comes to pick us up. I would go MAD knowing that at the time the buses are scheduled to arrive, there are people BOARDING the ship and enjoying the Wonder already! ) WOOHOO!!!!
We will be staying in Cocoa Beach on Saturday 11/3. We will be at the ship by around 10/10:30 am waiting patiently to board. When I booked our hotel for Saturday night, there were several that were totally booked already. I did some checking and there are 3 ships leaving Port Canaveral on Nov 4.
The Carnival Sensation a Royal Caribbean Ship and the Wonder. I imagine the
port will be quite busy that day. So for anyone else driving on their own to port, it may be a good idea to get there early.
