November 3rd: 4 night Disney Dream - Who is joing us?

ok, good, so it's not just me doing that? LOL. One week from tomorrow night we leave to start the drive to the Port. I'm hoping that we get there in enough time to check in to our hotel, then head to the port to watch the Fantasy sail away on Saturday. I think it would be cool to wave to them one day, and be on the ship waving back the next day. Then time to party with everyone and enjoy our cruise! WOOHOOO!!!!

Sounds great...temps here are FINALLY plummeting into the low 80's this weekend....I just hope the weather is better than what we had on the 3 night Valentine's Day cruise on the Allure Of The Seas..we had 72 hours of rain!! The ENTIRE cruise was rain....great time, but it would've been nice to sit at the pool.....10 more days Dream cruisers!!!

Low 80's?? Awww man.... I can't wait for warmer temps. We have a frost warning tonight, and it's dropping down to 37. UGH!! I agree, it will be nice to sit by the pool and relax. I wonder if they'll have Sunday night's football on the funnel vision. When we were on the Wonder a few years ago, we sat up on the deck and watched the game that night. It was windy, and the CM's were handing out blankets to everyone. LOL

No, I have a traveling partner. She is from NY, LI. and hates the cold also, so I bring her down here a bunch of times during the winter to warm up. This will be her 2nd cruise. Wish she would stay permanently by "WORK" gets in the way. BOO!

So I have a ??? for the group as I must be behind the times...what are "Fish Extenders", I see this posted all over the boards and have no idea what it refers too.

And 7 days to go. Chilly here today in Central Florida. Only 51 degrees at 7 am, burr! but going up to the mid to high 70's by noon time.

Got the suit case out and made my packing list. Pirates costume all set for Pirates night on Tuesday night.

Went to get our taxes done and discovered to our shock that we owe about $2000!! My first thought was that I would have to cancel our cruise (oh no!). But I think we will break down and finally sell our horse trailer, and it should cover the taxes. It's an older one but was rebuilt from the ground up a few years ago, and it's a nice Trailet with a dressing room. We no longer have horses but we were holding on to it in the hopes of getting another one eventually.
Sure would hate to miss this cruise, so I hope it sells.

Did you end up makin the cruise? If so are you doing the FE? I would like to send you some extra pixie dust from one horse lover to another!

When you get to your stateroom, there will be a metal fish outside your room. The CMs will put notices in it for you regarding your account, etc... A "fish extender" is a bag that you make that you hang on the fish. And a "Fish Extender Group" (or FE group) is a group of people on the same cruise who agree to make/buy presents for each other and put in each other's fish extenders.

Does that make sense?

Hello fellow cruisers. YESTERDAY my pal Monica and I just booked this cruise. 11/3 is her birthday and 11/7 is mine. What a nice present from DCL....FL resident rates.

I've put in a request to join the facebook group, so hope I'm 'approved'! Hoping to see when when the champagne tasting is booked so we can possibly join in. Monica and I are members of the ORIGINAL Champagne Girls!

Right! Except most people put their names/staterooms on their gifts so you know who gave you what, and you're giving to the whole group and not just one person/family.

There is a meet and greet at 230 at the vista cafe so we can talk about the champagne tasting then to see who all wants to do it, and the kids can meet...

Well boys & girls only six days till Mickey & Minnie time...just an FYI for myself at the Sail Away party in the Vista Cafe - I will be wearing a light blue polo shirt with "Cruises Inc" on my left side where the pocket would be....dark hair & moustache, about 5"8....I heard my wife Teresa telling our niece that she is really excited about this cruise...she really needs it..I have purchased a facial massage experience for her B'day ( it was 10/13, mine is 11/4 on the cruise..)....I also upgraded our cabin a bit from a 5B to a 4B on the same deck ( 8)...bigger cabin ( 299 SF vs. 249 SF) w/o telling her..hope she likes it...it was only a TOTAL of $172.80 for both for the whole cruise- I thought that was nothing for an upgrade..about $21.50 pp per day...see yous all next Sunday...weather so far calls for 80-82 degrees in PC next Sunday... I will keep checking in till next Sat for you all...if you are driving down early, drive safe..and have a Magical week!!

Family and I were just re-booked here after being bumped from re-imagined Magic 11/1 sailing (DH is a CM and all CM's were just bumped today from the 11/1 sailing). We have never been on the Dream so we are looking forward to that!
