I just did my podcast cruise homework....oh boy....are you podcasters going to take over this cruise?? Will we non podcaster be over run and feeling like we should have taken a different cruise?

concerning this thread and fe - do the two groups link up or do we remain separate?

Ok I'm joining in. We are debating though. We just cruised on the Fantasy that sailed out on 11/30/2013 - wonderful I must say!! (Our 1st Disney Cruise) We loved it so much we booked a dummy date while on board so we could enjoy the benefits!! We meet a wonderful group of people on the cruise and it all started as a group on here, anyways, some of the cruisers are wanting to go again on the Fantasy next year same time (11/29/2014). Us included - because we want to sail with our friends, but we haven't decided. I would really like to go on a Western cruise - our last 2 cruises have been Eastern - so that's got me wanting to go on Magic Western 11/30/14. I am leaning more towards Magic Western. So I'm going to say I'm in with this cruise group until I decide further. Buuuutttt now I'm curious as to what this PodCast Cruise is? Do I really want to book on this cruise. Advise?? Details?? Pros?? Cons?? Thanks in advance!!

Podcast Cruise - about 250-400 of us are booked thru Dreams Unlimited. They sponsor special talks, concerts, autograph sessions, for those who are booked thru DU. They also do a live taping of DISUnplugged Podcast

A bunch of other activities are arranged by folks on the cruise - cabin crawl, FE, wine tastings, trivia bingo, pre-cruise breakfast meet, etc. Depending on organizer, you don't have to be booked thru DU to participate.

Cabin crawl?? We participated in the FE but haven't heard of the cabin crawl. We are up for anything!! We are booked thru DU, how do we get included in everything?

We are not part of the podcast cruisers as we are not booked through DU and for important reasons I wouldn't move this reservation to them. Your fe is geared for podcasters. Perhaps we should have one for some of us who have made a decision not to be part of podcast.

We are not part of podcast for the reason being that I made a commitment to a TA who deserved my reservation for various reasons and wouldn't change it to DU. We aren't too worried about being excluded as this is primarily a family vacation though it sounded nice. We have the Roy suite so I would take part in room crawl if invited but if not I'm not letting it spoil our fun.
We'd love to join in and do an fe so I'm hoping more cruisers come along that aren't participating in the podcast so we can get a group going.
We like the itinerary for this cruise and we love the Magic.

Ahh ok. We want to be part of the FE but we don't have to be included in the podcast stuff either. Our main reason for booking is we want to have a wonderful vacation with our family and friends, FE and everything else will fall into place

I am signed up for this cruise as one of the podcasters. I would love to be in on the fun extras as this will not only be my first cruise, but I am also doing it solo!

Any helpful hints for a first time cruiser would also be greatly appreciated.

Cabin crawl?? We participated in the FE but haven't heard of the cabin crawl. We are up for anything!! We are booked thru DU, how do we get included in everything?

Once 'unofficial' things are planned, I'll try to put links in my signature. [no, I'm not an agent.]
Stuff I organize will be open to whomever, since not everyone [for whatever reason] books thru DU, and I always figure the more the merrier.

Folks at DU should update on all the 'official' events.
