November 3, 2014: Four Nights to DREAM

I think I have the first and third posts updated for all members of our cruise and those who are joining the FE.

However, if I missed you or messed up your info, just let me know.

Right now we have 17 families in FE #1. We will accept 3 more families and then close the group. However if you are undecided, I'm sure there will be a FE #2 added later.

This is my husband and I's second cruise and we can't wait to do the fish extenders this time

Looking for Diane J. and Shana Y.

Please let me know if this is one of you or a friend of someone on here.

Thanks!

I am planning on booking this cruise as soon as my TA gets back with me. I am in FL for a conference at universal just before this.
Would be my third cruise and I am solo as of now, not sure I can take anyone out of school and DH got horribly seasick on the last one.

Would LOVE to do FE if possible. I have asked to join the FB group too. I am Betsy Garber from IN...
Thanks!,

Welcome aboard! That is wonderful to combine work and leisure. I had a job that took me to Tampa sometimes so would always try to arrange meetings for Thursdays and take Friday off to spend the weekend in FL!

I'll add you to the lists later...gotta get ready for church!

Ok it is official!!!!! I am booked on this cruise, solo! Cabin 8600.
So excited!!!

Hello! I just requested to join the FB group for this cruise. My FB profile name is carman jones brown from quincy, il. There will be 3 of us on the cruise; my husband, my son (age 5), and me! We are in stateroom 6180 I believe. Not sure if we will do FE yet. Thanks! Carman

Welcome aboard!! I got you added to our FB page and will update our first post, too.

If you do decide you want to do the FE, let me know ASAP. We are very near to closing down FE #1 (but I'm sure there will be a second or even third smaller group).

There is room for only two more families in Fish Extender #1

If you were waiting to join in on this fun, please respond ASAP.

Once FE #1 is closed, I will keep a list for FE #2. This one may be smaller than FE#1 but you will also have less time to prepare your gifts. I'm guessing FE#1 closing sometime in May/June and FE#2 closing in August. FE#3 (if we need it) will close in early October. All dates are approximate. I try to keep the FE groups to about 20 family members so it is fun with good variety of gifts but still manageable!

Also, if any of your info on Post #1 (and #3) is incorrect or you now have a cabin # assigned, please let me know.

Lastly, please join our FB group to socialize, talk about the cruise, Castaway Cay and Bahamas and especially to talk details about the FE as it comes closer to the date.

I also plan to organize a quick Meet and Greet on November 3rd for families to get to know each other and esp for kids to "meet a new friend". More details will be forthcoming on the FB page.

Only 174 more days!!!

Ok, I am going to throw this out to the group...
On my last cruise, a group of us got together for a palo brunch on our sea day. It was really awesome.

In order to take it to DCL, we would need commitment from 12-14 adults, minus one for me. I guess I am looking to see if there is interest in doing this....

If there is interest, then I will put together names and cabin numbers for contacting Disney. I will also post this to the FB group.
Thanks!!

Thank you Betsy -- this sounds great!

Can we add a little blurb on that first post about trying to organization a Palo brunch?
You can ask them to PM me if they want more info.... Whatever you think would work.
Thanks!

Yes, that would be great to add.

Can you please send me any additional info? This is what I got so far:

Palo Brunch
Adults only
$25/pp and how do we pay?
Which day?
10:30am or 11am (Disney will schedule)
How many spots available?
Attendees: BetsyRNBSN, Starv06 + 1, marshay + 1, cdclaryl + 1

Brunch starts out offering mimosas to drink, then you get a tour of the buffet by your server. You take what you want from the buffet, order an entree, then go back to the buffet for dessert. It is a LOT of very good food, there are crab legs, caviar, etc...

Brunch is only offered on the "at sea" day, which I believe is 11-6.
We need 12-14 adults to apply to Disney.
The charges would be added to you cruise bill after the dinner. The same way excursion charges are added.
Need names of the person who is the primary on the reservation as well as the cabin number.
(If folks don't feel comfortable posting that information, the can send it to me)
My email address is BetsyRNBSN@msn.com
We would find out if we are accepted about 60 days prior to the sail date.

I will post more info when I have it. My friend who arranged this on my last cruise is sending me the information.

The only way the date would change would be if we could not dock at Castaway Cay on our scheduled day due to weather. That happened on our cruise, and we flip flopped our sea day and castaway cay day. Still worked out great!
