I haven't decided on the FE yet. I kinda intimidates me. LOL I'm seeing that there is a lot of girls on the cruise. Anyone have any son's around 9? My DD7 will be so excited to have so many friends, but hoping my DS9 finds some.

yes the fe is very overwhelming, im not going worry about them until summer since its hectic for us right now!

We are booked as well for the November 3rd cruise aboard the Dream. This is our first cruise ever. My son is so excited to see Goofy and Mickey but really wants to see Pete from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (I told him Pete is at Disney World holding down the fort while Mickey is with us). Any tips for first time cruisers would be appreciated! I will be checking out the FB page as well.

I have 3 sons who will be 12,9,&7 at the time. Looking forward to flights coming out soon to see how much everything will cost. Had wanted to tack on some time at Universal afterwards.
We are from Chicago suburbs and this will be our 4th cruise, second in the Dream

Have you checked Delta? We booked with them several months ago and we're flying out of Detroit. Right now they're at $280, so I wouldn't think it'd be that much different from Chicago. They've always been the least expensive from what seen.

Hi everyone! My fiance and I have booked the November 3rd Dream Cruise for our honeymoon and are extremely excited. We would definitely love to be apart of the FE group! My fiance's family had done it a few years ago and loved it so much and insisted we had to! We're both huge Disney nerds and we can't wait to share that with everybody! Our state room number is 8502. Thank you. November can't come fast enough!

How exciting for you to have a Disney honeymoon! My husband and I did ours there back in 1998 and combined it with a visit to Universal Studios. We were Disney newbies and tried to save money by doing one those timeshare talks to get free tickets. We didn't last long and will never, ever do that again !! Then I thought I scored big by getting a brand name hotel off property for $30 something a night!! That was an experience as we had to change rooms three times before we demanded our money back and went somewhere else. We learned our lesson. From then on, we stay on property and do the dining plan at all times! Glad you could join us!

Ugh, that sounds like a horrible experience.

We did a timeshare spiel once too and they threatened to throw us out once they found out we weren't going to buy anything and asked for the free weekend voucher. We did get the voucher and used it in Williamsburg but it wasn't worth it.

The timeshare was for Atlantis in Nassau ... I'm sure it is really nice but we have such a negative experience from the timeshare guy that we just can't ever see us going to Atlantis...

As we said on the FB page, the FE is just for fun. If you can have fun with it, no matter if you have the greatest creative mind or whether you buy fun disney things instead, then go for it!

If you look on the first post, you'll see some boys ... but surprisingly, there are a LOT of girls ages 7-10.

Me too!! Can't wait to see what Dining we get.

What places are you looking for? My oldest DD will turn 9 this summer so this is the last she will be a "kid" at Disney meal prices so we are going to load up on character meals this trip -- Norway, Garden Grill, Cindy's castle and H&V.

and yes, you have plenty of time for FE stuff. I just keep my eye out for fun Disney or beach or pirate stuff on clearance (after holidays) and I already found a good bunch. Then I'll craft something additional, just bc I like to do that. So I'll have a blend of store-bought and homemade. It's all good!

Welcome Aboard!! I'm sure your son will love the characters on board and they visit the kids club too so they get to dance and play games with them, too.

Please give me your stats -- Cabin number, who is coming with you, ages of your son, etc.

FYI -- We will take no more than 8 more families in FE #1.

As you can see, the cruise is starting to pick up a bit with more folks booking or coming out of lurking. I'm so excited to see a lot of Dissers and can't wait to meet you.

Ugh, that sounds like a horrible experience.

It was crazy! The first room we got had something leaking in the bathroom because there was water all over the floor by the toilet and bathroom. The second room had another bathroom issue. Went to turn the light on and the fan automatically came on which wouldn't be a big deal if it didn't sound like high-pitched squealing animals were stuck up there...and the third room, all seemed good 'til Dwight kind of leaned and fell back on the bed and it fell apart! Like I said, from then on, we stay on Disney property.
