Has anyone heard from katzs13 lately??? She's coordinating our FE list, and I've not seen her on in a while.

Welcome Juli. I too was a bit bummed about the character meal. Even though my kids are getting older, they still enjoy them. Seems there is alot of people not happy they are gone, maybe we will get lucky and they will reinstate them in some fashion by the time we sail. Booked a couple nights at Villa Wilderness Lodge, getting more and more excited everyday!

I'm so excited about our trip it is hard to get too "down" about losing the character meal. I DO want to suck it up and stand in line for pictures this time--pretty happy with the new photo options!

Did anyone see these trip reports from the Maiden Voyage? Tons of pics, menus, navigators, etc! Broken down to a separate thread each day, starts with Day 3 which was boarding day. At the end of each day, there is a link to the next.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Juli, and I'm very excited to be joining you. The last few weeks before our cruise, I lurked in my Wonder thread (didn't want to jump in last minute), and I found the info to be invaluable. In any case, we just got off the Wonder on Sunday (4/8), and we booked this Fantasy cruise while onboard. We're also from Jersey, taking advantage of Jersey Week.

My husband Paul and I have two kids, Ella (6) and Jake (3). This will be our third Disney Cruise. I addition to the 4/1 Wonder, we also did the Dream last year. We are hooked. We may be joined by my in-laws--we went ahead and booked the extra stateroom while on the Wonder.

So excited, and I'm thrilled we don't have over a year to wait this time!

Welcome. We are also from South Jersey. My daughter will just turn 7 before we sail. Looking forward to meeting you.

Anyway, my friend went on the Maiden Voyage of the Fantasy and she is a DIS member. Her DIS name is Justhat. She very kindly offered to answer any questions anyone had or come on the thread and give a mini TR if anyone is interested.

On another cruise we organized a wine tasting through the Dis cruise meet board. People brought a bottle of wine to share and we got to taste and learn about many different wines. We asked Disney if there was a place we could hold our event. They suggested the adult pool area which worked out very well. They not only gave us permission but the outdoor pool bar provided glasses and ice water to help the tasting again just ask. The Aqua Duck and wine go together surprisingly well. We held this from 10 pm until midnight.

Saw this one another thread and thought this idea might be genious... what does everyone else think would anyone be up for having a wine tasting such as this...

I know ... I've contacted Misty, as well, and have gotten no reply. I know that Steve and William have done so, too.

She PM'd me March 2 to get added to the FE list.

We know we are going to do the FE regardless, so I think we have time to wait to see if she comes back.

We will be having another cruise chat this Friday at 8:30 PM in the Chatzy private chat room that ntheory (Shell) has set up.

If you need the link/password/invite PM ntheory (Shell) through the DIS. She seems to be having issues receiving messages from facebook for some reason.

If you already have received the invite with the link and password, there is no need to request it again.

Shell will not have access to her computer all day Friday, so please request the invite by Thursday afternoon, so she would have ample time to get you the info.

You can buy them on ebay or etsy. Just search on fish extender.

Or you can make one.

Geez, before I started frequenting this board, I was home and bored every Fri night! Now, I've been busy every chat night since! This weekend is my DD's First Communion so we have family coming in from out of town Fri night. So no chat for me again.
