November 3, 2012 - Election Escape Eastern!!

I had a slight problem with old user name - my own fault.

So Jetsmets is now jetsandmets. I haven't changed teams
to root for (although maybe I should have!) only my screen
name.

Our information is on the 1st page - going with my
Wife Kristen and daughters Kaitlin (13 for the cruise) and Allison (10)

We will by on the 8th deck, and down the hall is my
sister Hillbeans on here and her sons.

We are all from Central NJ - Somerset County

Now that we are under 250 days and the ship just left NYC it all
seems more real, so I will try to be more active on here.

Well my DSis & her DH will not be cruising with us this time....so it will just be me and friend Colleen (aka Tiggerwannabe)....and we are looking forward to a fabulous cruise with all of you!!!

We don't have our cabin no. yet...but it's still pretty early so i'm not worried.

So glad that so many of you were able to see OUR beautiful new ship while she was in NYC...these next 8 months are going to be long ones....

Booked my flights over the weekend....$335 RT from Monterey to MCO (with a short layover in LAX on the departure and San Francisco on the return)....absolutely LOVE flying from the Monterey airport and it saved me about $150

We will be flying out of Sacramento. If we drive to Sacramento from Nevada we save around $600 for the 3 of us and get better departure times. We will be flying back into Reno for the return trip.

Booked my flights over the weekend....$335 RT from Monterey to MCO (with a short layover in LAX on the departure and San Francisco on the return)....absolutely LOVE flying from the Monterey airport and it saved me about $150

I am super jealous I have to go to LA in Oct for my brothers wedding (staying at the Grand Cali Villas YEAH ) but the tickets are so expansive in the $400's AGH

I'm finally getting around to officially joining this group! My DH and I are looking forward to this cruise sooooooo much! We've done two 4s on the Wonder and will be doing a 4 on the Magic in April and 4 on the Dream in January...isn't it about time we got on a seven nighter? We live an hour from the port, so we've been known to pack a lunch and a couple beach chairs to head to the beach to watch the sailing of whichever ship is in port. It's always a magnificent sight and never fails to set my heart a-twitter!

Please add us to the roll call... Donna and Tom, we are from Longwood, FL, and our room is GTY for now.

isn't it just crazy???? i'm trying to get to iowa in May and those flts are over 500....YIKES (and WHO really wants to go to iowa???) they should make the flts there a bit more affordable and maybe more people would go there LOL!!!!

ok, So I recently found out that the deluxe oceanview stateroom cat 9B that I reserved only has a medium sized porthole, not the large ones like the Magic!
I may consider upgrading to the Family oceanview on deck 5 for the 3foot with a built in seat.

Anyone from a cruise on the Dream have any input?
