292 days!!!
Bright side we are the right side of 300!!!
8lbs down -> 87lbs to go!!!
P90X is really difficult I think Tony Horton is evil, but I feel great and am making progress.
Woohoo!!
And CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I hope I will be as successful as you!
Rosermama-if you develop a great plan for a Walking tour of San Juan, would you willing to share some tips or info, please?
We are planning on doing this and so far I found only one walking tour on a San Juann Website.
I think that's a great idea. Although I don't have young children anymore, I do understand the need to protect them.
I'm available most nights for chat, but I go to bed quite early (9pm Eastern) because I have to get up at 4, so probably this won't work for most people.
Ok everyone we are 302 days away from the cruise WOW I can't wait and I have set a goal of losing 100 pounds before the cruise.
I just started P90X (its a killer) and I am on day 4 and I only made it half way through an hour and a half yoga video. Amazingly I can make it through an hour of arms yesterday and today not close.
So I am starting my countdown of weight to go along with my countdown till the cruise.
Is anyone else trying to lose weight before the cruise?
Hello all!
My husband and I just moved our cruise back a bit from the old Wine and Dine 1/2 race dates to this cruise so we can do the race! Hopefully they don't change anything again because there is no way we can pay the "late booking" tax again!
Our cast is very small... just me, Shanna 29 and my husband Kyle, also 29! We will both be 30 by the time of the cruise though and it will be just after our first wedding anniversary so we can still say it counts as a celebration, right?! We will be in stateroom 6174 - even though we booked GTY we already got our #, probably because of the noise of docking no one wanted it... but hay, we are young, have earplugs and got a good price!
I admit I laughed my tush off when I saw the graphic on the first page, you are all awesome and I bet we will have a wonderful cruise!
We will both definitely be doing the 5K on CC - if for no other reason than staying limber for the 1/2 the night we disembark! Are there any other crazies here who think its a great idea?!
I asked to join the facebook group as well! Cheers!
Sorry for the many posts this is what happens when you are on the computer for 3 1/2 hrs waiting and then watching the float out
Last one for awhile (which I only promise will be at least 15 mins)
Just some info on what's next for our new cruise ship
At approximately 5 am EST on Sunday, January 8, she will slowly be floated out of the building, into the harbor for a few tests.
Final touches on the ships construction, such as the installation of the mast, will be performed while she is berthed at the yards pier. Two weeks later, she is expected to be conveyed to the North Sea via the River Ems. She will then officially be delivered to Disney Cruise Line on February 9 in Bremerhaven.
From there, its a Transatlantic voyage in which her first stop is Pier 88 at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal in New York City (12th Ave. & 55th St.), where she is scheduled to be berthed from February 28 through March 2,

THANK YOU DISNEY FOR BEING SO SAFE
The account of what happened in this story is amazing, as one passenger said it was like the Titanic.

I just have to say as much as we might not care to do the evacuation drill I thank god that Disney is so concerned about safety. Many times I see them tell kids to stop running in the halls and this and that...
The thought that they didn't even do a drill is horrible, for anyone who thinks twice about going on a cruise after this should if they go on a cruise that doesn't even do safety drills.
"No one counted us, neither in the life boats nor on land," said Ophelie Gondelle, 28, a French military officer from Marseille. She said there had been no evacuation drill since she boarded in Marseille, France on Jan. 8.

Questions for the week!
Do you plan on using a Disney Cruise Line specific guidebook (ie. Birnbaum ,Passporter, etc.) during your planning for this cruise?
Have you used any for planning of any of your previous Disney cruise(s)?
If you do not plan on using a guidebook, what websites do you plan on using for your planning for this cruise?
Certainly I would be more than happy to put share whatever information I gather up.
Here are a couple of websites I have found which offer tour guides as well, we can always try to get a group of us togther and have a private tour done

There was another website I found that had where we could customize a trip with a knowledgable tour guide as soon as I can find it I will post it.
I am not sure if we will do it on our own or on a tour yet, but I am willing to group up with some people.
And here is one just to get people started

??? Why did you laugh at the graphic? I'm confused.
I hadn't noticed that we would be gone during the election, so cruisin' from the chaos just made me laugh, I dunno...All the bickering and such seems much funnier when you aren't having to deal with/experience it! Luckily our state allows ballot by mail so we can send it in and silently slip away!

Nope... I rely primarily on any leaked navigators on here and DCL and google searches for the ports. I think I'm committed to using DCL excursions since we've got the kiddos. Been to St Thomas/St John before.
Have you used any for planning of any of your previous Disney cruise(s)?
Nope...just here
We are booking this cruise next month. We are staying in Disney 3 nights before sailing so we can do Food & Wine. It will be my, my DS who will be 8, my dd who will be 20 months, my mom, my dad, and possibly my mom's cousin. My family has never done a Disney cruise before so I'm determined to make it extra special for them.![]()
