November 3, 2007 - Western on the Magic

How about I make it easy on you and just order the "drink of the day"?

Boarding day seems like a bit of a hectic time doesn't it. Some people may be trying to get in last minute ressies or checking their kids into the camps, just getting unpacked, etc. Then there's the drill, sail away party, and then dinner.

Possibly the next day would work better? Earl- ish, before we dock in Key West? Just a suggestion. I know I will be a bit on the busy side on boarding day!

I understand what you are saying about boarding day being busy, but I just think the first day is good for a DIS meet so everybody can get to know everybody. Also if someone wants to make plans with someone that they meet at the "meet" for later in the week, I think it just works better. Just my opinion.

Ahh yes, that would make better sense to get to meet up right away so you have a lot of planning time ahead of you. I wasn't trying to be difficult, I was just throwing that out there as an idea. No harm meant. I can't believe it's only six weeks away!

No problem at all. Look forward to meeting you!!

We have just got the cases down from the loft, and may plan a bit of packing this weekend !!! we may have already met a few of you if you are staying at the Radisson pre-cruise.. cheers Iain

Supporting the Steelers :cheer2: :cheer2: :yay:
It doesn't really matter to me where we meet, we just want to get together to meet everybody! Does anybody else have any suggestions on where to meet???? I was also thinking.....what you would think about if we had everybody that comes to the meet bring a little Disney token. Put them in a big bag and then let everybody take a little Disney treat home with them. Just a thought, I thought it might be fun!!! We are only six weeks away, we need to start planning. :woohoo:

Hi All!
It's been a while, very busy summer. The kids started school, I finished school (:woohoo: , just waiting for my grades & graduation date).
I made sure that at the 90 day mark, I registered the kids for their clubs (DSs 11 & 7) but unfortnately waited to late to book Palo & butterfly excursion in Key West  . Though, I am thinking it would be better to do Key West on our own.
My kids are going to Key West with us but are not to keen on getting off the ship in Cozumel & Cayman. I am trying to talk them into it. They really are not into the beach, we have a pool & go figure, me being a Jersey Shore girl growing up summers on the beach would rather have the kids stay home at the pool but when going away, give me a tropical beach any day. Castaway Cay they go with the clubs.
I am no where near packing, we are having our basement finished & I have been cleaning stuff out of the house.
Still trying to figure out how to get rid of 10 - 15 lbs by Halloween so my clothes fit, could be doable.
My DH & I would love to go to seven mile beach in Cayman & I wanted to go to ruins in Cozumel but I checked out the San Gervasio that Disney excursion goes to & said that they weren't that impresssive. I am wondering if we should do it alone & try shopping.
I am still keeping fingers crossed that we can get our seating changed. When we booked, they only had late available & put us on a waiting list. I know my kids can't do dinner that late & even the 4-day cruise, my 11 yr old didn't have dinner with us the last night.
Did I read somewhere that the 7-day has Margarita tasting? I am so there
My DH's b-day is Nov 6th so I am planning for them to celebrate at dinner that night.
I am also wondering how many bingo sessions there are, the Wonder has made me a Bingo addict, lol. In July we were known as the Bingo mafia family.
(kind of funny, my DH came in dressed for dinner while I was playing, typical jersey dress up for my hubby, jacket, black mock short sleeve turtle, dress shoes, pinky ring, lol & his name is Vinnie so they had a lot of fun with us)
I am looking forward to meeting everyone & I am sure that I will now be on the boards more often since I have little more extra time.
Everyone have a great day!!

Welcome back Trishde !!!! you have indeed read about the Margarita tasting !!! did you also read about the Martini tasting, the stem to stern wine tasting, and last but by no means least the BEER tasting  dreading the Beers though, last i read they served a sample of Boddingtons and Newcastle Brown Ale, (uuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh) which are not even amongst the top 100 beers here in the UK.

Just got to find room in the case for my Cheesehead !!!

cheers Iain.

Hi everyone,
I cant believe its only 6 weeks away. I am starting to panic! I figured this time around I would read all the cruise tips and really make the best of the trip. After reading a taking 10pgs on notes on tips..I have realized that I have a lot to organize before the cruise. I am organizing a box to ship down there ahead of time with all the stuff that they say to bring. but I know once I step foot on the boat all my anxiety will Magically dissapear and plus a good drink in my hand will always help too.:)

We were halfway down page 2 so here's a BUMP!

The yahoo kids group has been very quiet...is everyone busy with school? My 8yo has it in her head that all the kids need to get together for lunch sans parents, so if anyone is interested in helping out Miss Grown Up, let me know!

DH is waffling on the Steelers thing. Now he says it depends on who has the better record. I say phooey on that. I do NOT like the Ravens and will happily cheer the Steelers on to BEAT those rat-birds to a pulp. Not that I approve of violence in sports or anything... :cheer2: The poor man is a Browns fan through and through. I need to get him some help. :lmao:
