It's absolutely NOT a bad thing for everyone. Just for me: animal prints and me are NOT perfect together!

I am not the easiest person to fit with a swimsuit, but I got two new ones this summer from the womanwithin.com website (formerly Lane Bryant). They have a large assortment - I got two-piece skited suits - one solid and one polka dots. Prices are great, too! The suits I bought ran very true to size vs. their size chart.

I dug up an old suit today. If I lose 20 pounds before we go on the cruise I can wear it the first two days. After that it probably won't fit any more.

You're too funny!!! Seriously, I just found another sale on swimsuits (I'm on a mission now...) at Orvis (go figure!) - unbelievable sales.

For anyone who is interested (and not tired of hearing my swimsuit issue): I ordered several pieces from Orvis and Kohl's last night (still have back-up choices at Lands End, but not as inexpensive). Tune in again in a few days to see the results

AARRRGGG!!!! Need to vent. I had bought our air tickets awhile ago from Northwest. I'm traveling with 2 small kids, one four and one will be turnign one on our cruise. I bought them early to make sure we were all seated in one row and had non-stop flights. (Baby didn't have her own seat). Well, just got an email this morning that they changed our outgoing flgiht which now leaves at 1-something, has a 50 minute layover in Detroit, and we aren't even seated by each other. Seriously I am NOT happy. Then when I try to call and change I am on hold for 30 minutes to talk to someone and then it takes HIM longer to figure out there is a non-stop flight at 5 pm than it did me (except that the nwa.com system is down so now I can't even tell him the flight number.) DH says welcome to the new world of air travel! I hate Northwest but they have such a monopoly here in Minneapolis, it's not funny! I guess from now on if I can't go Sun Country I'm not going.

As I've typed this, I guess I am now on a 5:50 flight out of Orlando. (But at least it's non-stop.) Should I take bets on if he actually seated the 3 of us together? (There were 3 open together as of 45 minutes ago!)

On a happier note, DDs both got new clothes this weekend from Gymboree, the Bon Voyage line. CUTE cruise clothes, baby even has a sailor dress and the 4 year old got great "cruise" sunglasses that are too cute.

Ok, now that I am officially on a 5:50 flight, any ideas on what to do for an entire day before our flight leaves? With a 4 and 1 year old? We were going to do Downtown Disney on our way to the port....

As far as I'm concerned, your vacation has already started on the day that you are flying (hey, for me, it officially starts the minute that I leave work the day before!). So go out for breakfast, go back home and watch Disney videos, check luggage one more time, go out for lunch, go to the airport early and buy a magazine from the news stand, have a snack before you get on the plane! LOL

I should've clarified we are delayed leaving Orlando to go back home. So I assume we'll be off the ship around 9. We're renting a car to drive from the port to Orlando. Anywhere else fun to visit beside Downtown Disney with the kids?

I would say that you don't have much time to do anything else if you have a 5:50 flight out. By time you get to DTD, grab the kids some lunch at Mickey D's, check out Lego Land and Once Upon a Toy, maybe splash around in the fountains some it will be time for you to head back to the airport.

My group also has a late afternoon flight. I'll tell you what we did last year. Rented a car at the port, returned it at the airport. During the day we visited a lovely county park in Cocoa Beach, it has a nice sandy ocean beach and a small environmental walking path. The park is on I Dream of Jeanie Drive, heehee, that tickles me. We stopped in RonJon surf shop then drove to Orlando. Downtown Disney was a stop for us,parking was very difficult, and then lunch at Checkers. We don't have that chain here and really like their shakes.

We are now in DVC. We plan on going to our home resort of Saratoga Springs, enjoying the pool and walking to Downtown Disney to go to Wolfgang Pucks cafe for some delicious food. This is what we hope to do, don't know yet if it will work.

Can you use the pool if you're not a guest of the resort? I was under the impression that you had to have a room, not just be a DVC member.

If you are in DVC and have any info I would appreciate it? Pool hopping is allowed for DVC members, I will have my DVC card and a KTTW card from the cruise. I will call DVC MS to ask about this. This is my dream for the day, not sure yet if the dream will come true.

I'm pretty certain that there is no access to the pool unless you're a guest. At BCV, they give wrist bands after you show a current room key. The same pool hopping rules apply to DVC members and that pool hopping is never allowed at BCV and AKL.
We're staying until Monday after the cruise in one of the new Grand Villas at AKV. I've never been to the AKL pool and am looking forward to it.

You mentioned you have two small children (ages 1 and 4), you may just want to have a day room at the Hyatt. This way the baby can have a nap or the older one can splash in the pool.

Then you can relax, walk around the airport (I hear it is one of the better airports with tons of shops), grab some food, all without stressing about the rental car or getting to the airport.

I read somewhere that the Hyatt is also past the security lines (I may be wrong on this) so you would not have to stress about that.

Any way you cut it, you are still on vacation. Stretch it out as much as you can!
