Once you have sailed with disney you get to become a castaway club member. It gets you a few perks such as early booking privilages for shore excursions, palo, spa; they have a special check in spot; lanyard, pins, and a state room gift (this time it comes with lots of handy cruise stuff); Clubhouse party with prizes; members only site; and on board exclusive merchandise. I know by reading the boards some people never get cards, but you can call disney and get your member numbers. This is the first time my daughter got her card and she has been with me on both cruises.

ok ...first cruise and as it gets closer im starting to get a little nervous my issue isnt about seasickness like everyone assumes...i have this issue with being out in the middle of the ocean ....thats y when i get "sea sick" looking at the horizon makes it worse....

m i strange?

but dont get me wrong , i am VERY VERY excited n cant wait...

i guess you all have a job on this trip...help me to NOT think about being in th emiddle of the ocean away from land

I have a friend who won't go on a cruise just for that reason. I think once you get on you'll be fine, just don't stand at the railings and look out at the horizon.....That means you will have to keep yourself very busy, which you can definately do on a cruise.

Well at least i know im not the only person who feels this way lol.
the rational part of my brain tells me that i will be so busy i wont have time to think about it. remember we ARE going with 7 kids, 1 being my daughter.

Don't worry about it too much. The ships stay close to the various islands and I would say you see land more often than not. For instance, you will see Cuba for most of the sea day on the way to Cozumel. Also, you will generally see the other cruise ships, as they follow similar, if not identical, courses.

As for being in the middle of the ocean...If you don't look outside, you'd NEVER know. It feels like you are in a big resort! You'll be fine!! Lots of diversion and lots of fun will keep you more than busy!!

I have been checking and JetBlue has only been booking through Oct. 31, and not Nov. yet. Where did you find Nov. flight info available?

iwannabeminnie - After I took a better look at Alligent, they charge extra for everything you can imagine, so rather than take the kids out of school for two extra days we are flying Air Tran out of Indy. I was around $190 pp.

Flying out of Chicago looks like it might be pricey too! I'm sure as the summer progresses and people decide it's too expensive to travel, the rates will moderate somewhat. I'm not going to worry about airfare for another month or so yet.

Still waiting for SWA to release its fares past 11/02/07. C'mon Southwest...time to set the pace.

I just tried this, but only get availability for Nov.3, not for return flight on Nov. 11. The price for one way on Nov,3 is crazy- it's $299!!
