November 3, 2007 - Western on the Magic

Looks like there will be a lot of little ones with us! And then us two old fogeys! As anybody excited yet?

Welcome aboard Parlay! I added your family's information to the group listing on the first page of the thread. Please let me know if anything needs to be changed?

It won't be long now (summer always seems to go fast, if it ever gets here!)

I guess if you love Disney you're NEVER an old fogie. Hey, I've been on cruises with real "Old Fogies" and they'd just jump overboard on a Disney cruise. LOL! We've gotten so many complaints from them while we were on other cruiselines, unsolicited, mind you, that DH swore he'd never go on another cruise. But, being the Disney Freaks that we are, I convinced him to try one, just for 4 nights...HAHAHA! Hooked him! Now the only dilemma that we have is choosing between WDW and DCL!!

Oh, and Selket, thanks for the info, but if you look at previous posts you'll see that some of us are here just for Tink!! (Well, not just for Tink...)

We don't really mind kids. We love watching them have fun and the wonder and excitement they have. Just don't ask us to babysit! We're on vacation!:rotfl2:

Eventhough we took our married kids and grandkids to WDW last October, we didn't babysit! We'd rather be with them to help out and enjoy the kids' reactions!! I wish they were coming with us on this cruise...Maybe next time.

Just wanted to stop in and say Hi. I am booked for the Western 11/03/07. I booked through the another website where a certain podcaster is sponsoring a cruise with Tinkerbell. I'm not from New Jersey, but I hope to get to meet a lot of great people!!

See you then...

quick question for anyone interested in scrapbooking on the cruise...

would you rather do 2 page layouts or a complete mini album-type thing?

would you rather have a "classic", old world look or a fun Caribbean look?

would you rather just get some pages done or learn some new things?

When I do a travel-scrap-class, I bring all the supplies with me along with flat rate priority mail boxes so you don't have to carry it home, either! I don't believe in making people use their valuable suitcase space for stuff I'll have along anyway... ;)

I'm starting to pull some thoughts together and could use some feedback!

BTW, from what I'm hearing, the scrappenings would be in one of the adult clubs during the daytime hours unless my TA can come up with a different venue.

Thanks!

Hey everyone, I know I'm late to the party, but I wanted to add some stats for the roll call on the first page!!

SamIAm (Sue)
DH (Dan)
DD - Megan who is seven years old!

Don't ask me how old I am cuz I ain't tellin!

:boat:

Welcome to the group Sue, I added your family's information to the page 1 roll call. Sorry I missed your post the other day.

Get Mr. iwbm's tux out of the upstairs closet and see if it still fits. Buy a gown. Lose about 50 pounds. Get my fanny down to the post office and mail off those passport applications (THIS WEEK). Decide on shore excursions. Book flights. Go to the Vera Bradley outlet sale tomorrow and buy a new back pack. Shop for shorts, capris, shoes, tops, dresses, swimsuits (hey any excuse works for me!) Those kinds of things.

ahh so its pretty common to wear tuxs and gowns on the formal night? also does anyone know where i can find cheap clothes with disney characters on it?

im also glad that im not the only one who hasnt gotten their passports done yet...and i dont know anyone else but im hopin to loose enough weight so i can wear a bikini...maybe someone has some ideas on how to drop it easily....

hey anyone on here from monmouth county nj around middletown area? thought it would be cool to meet up for coffee or maybe go shopping with some of the people ill be living with 4 7 days lol

Okay, not trying to start controversy, but since passports are NOT totally required until January 1, 2008, is anyone here thinking of just using the birth certificate? I have my passport forms all filled out, but the $$ I am going to spend on them will buy me a few Bahama Mama's on board...KWIM. I know, after paying for this cruise, passport fees are a small percentage, but every spare dollar is a spare dollar.

Anyway, the best way to drop weight easily is to eat better and exercise more. Really, there's no other "good" way. Lots of bad bad ways, but no other good ways. And you want to be healthy in November too! Cheap Disney clothes, the Disney outlet stores usually have cute little t-shirts that you can pick up pretty cheaply. It'll be a matter of shopping the store a few times before you go to pick and choose what you like.

You are right, you don't NEED to have a passport to cruise, this year. But let's just imagine that someone gets sick and needs to fly home from Grand Cayman, you could have a huge issue re-entering the US without it. And if its really serious you don't want to be wasting time convincing someone to change the rules for you.

Bite the bullet and get your passport...Consider it insurance. You are going to need it after in Jan. 2008 anyway.

I didn't even get my DH into a tux for our wedding, I think trying it for vacation would be out of the question. Hey, I don't care, as long as he lets me plan Disney vacations, and maybe even buy more points, he's in good standing with me!!!

wow talk about disney cruise bein popular! my brother in law just got a new truck and the guy my inlaws have used for years is going on this cruise too! talk about craziness...

as for the tux, i wont be getting my husband into a tux either.same thing with us...couldnt get him into one for our wedding last july...its already a fight about the no jeans and having to wear a tie lol.

Very true and great advice! My forms are filled out and now all we need is some ID pictures at the Walgreens!!
