November 3, 2007 - Western on the Magic

We are waiting for Jet Blue as well, (not released as of 4:18 this afternoon). I looked at their normal Saturday Schedule, and the earliest flight is 8A. Has anyone ever had a problem with a flight delay leaving at this time. I was hoping for something before 7:30a.

Ed

After posting the original reply, I noticed it was 4:18 at the time of my post, however the Post time reads 3:54. Any idea why?

WELCOME!!!! Anybody that's a Steelers fan can definately come along!!!!!
We always bring our jerseys and wear them on Sunday! We usually watch the Steelers game in Diversions (the sports bar)!!!

We fly Allegiant out of Fort Wayne. We are still waiting for the rates. They are booking through November 7. That's just great. We can get to Florida, but can't get home-----------maybe I should just go ahead and book.

Last year, I flew Jet Blue and there were no problems with delays. I originally had an 8:00 flight booked, and they emailed me a couple of months before that the flight was moved up a half an hour earlier to 7:30 am.

...I think alot of Jersey folks will be watching their birds entertain the cowboys on the 4th of Nov.

My boys, especially the big one, already are planning on the talk with customer service again to get it on the Dumbotron. It worked last year, he's determined to get it on again this year. Hot tub, beer delivery, close snacks, and major big screen football on a cruise, don't think they think it gets better than that.

Yes we will be watching the birds beat the cowboys on the 4th of Nov. and then come Monday we will watch the Steelers on Monday Night Football!

As many people that will be on that ship from Philly and NJ there is no reason why they wouldn't show it. Maybe they will show Monday Night Football on the big screen too!!

We'll be driving; I have to have somewhere to put all my scrapbooking stuff! No, really...I'll be a vendor at a scrapbook weekend in Myrtle Beach starting the 16th (my birthday), so after the cruise, we're going to have a few days at WDW before heading to the last show of the season. :cool1:

As for the Steelers...I dunno...it's a good thing hubby isn't going, he's a Browns fan! :scared1:

Thanks for the reply michboro. There are 18 of us going on this cruise. We are all booked for the cruise part, but still need the air.

As sson as I see the airfares listed I'll post it.

Interestingly enough, the Giants have a bye, and the Jets play at 1pm, so there is no other NJ competition for sports fans. Do they really show the football games on the Jumbotron???

They do if enough people want to see it. You just need to voice your opinion. They did it last year and said only until a movie was set to start. So many people were watching football they didn't bother with the movie. When the ship is full of one state all looking to see a game it makes sense.

Thanks guys!!!

Can't wait. The Steelers are on Monday night , what a bonus!

The kids will definetly be at the kids club that night, because DH and I will be at Diversions!

We booked Air Tran through Disney from Philly and a one night Disney stay after the cruise. We'll do a one park, kamikaze day and fly home Sunday. We always fly in the day before we sail. This time we're staying at the Radisson at the port.

Hoping we can see some of the Eagles/Cowboys game - hot tub seats sound good!

We are staying at Disney Saturday for one night after the cruise, and will be going to Super Soap Weekend at MGM on Sat. and flying home on Sunday.
Still waiting for airfare from JetBlue.

This is SweetSpot's better half (the big kid). Last year they had already planned on showing Monday Night Football on the Dumbotron, so I would expect that to continue and seeing the Steelers game shouldn't be a problem. They hadn't planned on showing the Sunday Night game, which happened to be the Colts vs. the Patriots (not a big game or anything).

The only place they were planning on showing the game was in Diversions, which kids aren't allowed in after 8 or 9 at night. So our DS's (who were 16 and 14) were not going to be able to watch the game. The prior year, they put the game on in the Promenade Lounge, but they weren't planning on that again. After having a lengthy discussion with the concierge staff about how it didn't make sense that passengers under 18 were not going to be able to see one of the biggest regular season games of the year, they finally found a way to have it broadcast on the Dumbotron.

Turns out there were more people on deck 9 watching on Sunday night (when they didn't have it in the Navigator) then there were on Monday night (when they did have it on the Navigator).

Hopefully this year it won't take as much effort to convince them of the wisdom of airing the Birds and the Boys!
