Ummmmm, yeah, that should have been returned with the passport. You may need to call someone on that one...I wouldn't want my birth certificate randomly floating around the State Department, but maybe that's just me. :hippie:

Our kid's passports and birth certificates came separately. The passports came first (14 weeks after we applied), and there was note inside the packet stating that other documentation will come separately and the birth certificates came about 1 week later.

Same with mine! A little pamphlet inside the envelope stated they would be sent back separately. This is probably a good thing because at least if they were lost or stolen, they wouldn't be together.

No passports for the kids yet, but DCL did assign our cabin.

We are in 6118. Seems like a good location. I'm really happy with what they gave us. Now if we can get changed from 2nd dining to 1st, all will be good to go. :)

I guess I'm all set. I have my passports, my cabin assignment (thanks Kate!), my seating time, and my dining rotation. All is well in my world.:wizard:

We've gotten our info, too! Seating time 5:30 and our dining rotation. We've had our cabin assignment since day one. Now I need to remember to make reservations for Palo and my "Hot Rocks" massage, as my DH calls it! He hated having a massage (I think he'd rather have a woman do it!!) so I get to do one for twice as much money!!! LOL!

We aren't planning any shore excursions. And I get nervous as the cruise gets closer, thinking that I'm making a mistake. We are not big cruisers. We like to go, go, go and walk, walk, walk! So I'm thinking that walking around Key West and watching the sun set, is going to take care of that day. Then maybe a cab to a beach in Grand Caymen and finally a little shopping in Cosumel. Castaway Cay is our favorite...biking, snorkeling, beach, joining the seagulls at the bar...We love it there!!

I think I'm really getting excited...Maybe I should start packing??

How did you find out all of that info? I would love to know our seating time! I do already have our cabin #. I am ready to pack now also I am getting very excited!!! Doing lots of shopping!!!!:yay:

I got a packet from my Travel Agent with the information in it on Saturday.

I've been mentally packing for a couple of months now. I just hope it will all fit in the suitcase when I start the physical packing!

1. I got my daughter's passport today, but not mine? I take that this is normal, that they don't come together even if done at the same time.

2. For those of you who just got a room number, did you have a guarantee.. and if so what catagorey? Were you upgraded?

Thanks
Connie

We had a category 6 guarantee. Nope no upgrade. Not a big deal though. I didn't think they would upgrade us to a category 4 and a category 5 and 6 are the same except for the deck number.

I'm happy. :)

We are in cabin 6582, when we cruised the Magic in 2002 we had cabin 6584 !!!!. 1st dining as well. so far so good, i just wished i hadn't promised my budy my spare ticket to the Giants , Dolphins game ,just checked a few ticket agencies in London and the cheapest tickets are going for £500 or $1000 a pop !!!!!!!! still it should be a good game.

Hope all you guys get the passports, this may be our last trip over the pond without the need for a visa :scared1: although i work in central London only a few minutes from the American embassy ,so getting one should not be a problem, especially when one the head guys is a cheesehead :yay:

cheers everybody Iain.

Just got an email from the State Department that DDs' passports shipped today! :cool1: We took them on 6/4 and were told to expect 16 weeks, so I'm pretty happy about that!

We got a new cabin assignment (still deck 2, still Cat 9) which is better, but still not quite what we need (deck 5). Don't know the dining rotation yet. Hoping to get our last payment in next week so we can go ahead and makes some ressies! Oldest DD wants to brunch at Palo's, so I'll have to pick a day after spending some time with a navigator. The big thing I don't want to miss is the Art of Disney Entertaining.

We really should all try to meet so that we know who we're passing in the hallways!!

By the way, I'm ready to go...Anyone else??? I need a vacation!!!

Hello everybody, I was away for 5 days. Our computer decided it needed a vacation, so it went on the fritz for a few days. I was going crazy without my computer, you don't realize how much you rely on it. Glad to be back to the DISboards. :cool1:

I have made the grave mistake of remodeling our kitchen during the summer. What was I thinking!!!! I had to take my 2 kids and crazy dog to my parents' home--at least until I could put some air conditioning back into the house.
Got to love my Mom and Dad (hey--they will be on the cruise too!!!--Anyone have anyone in the 60-70 yr range (Italian, and love to cook) for them to be friends with?)

What excursions are you all thinking about? I was just in Key West for a few days in May and it's a very walkable town. Lots to see just minutes from the port. I know nothing really about the other ports... just Samantha Brown's Travel Channel stuff.
