We did a land/sea package last November, and in January booked another for this November. Then I really got the bug and we cruised on the Magic over Spring Break. We enjoyed the 7-day so much more than the land/sea that we changed our November reservation to the 7-day Magic on November 2. And coincidentally, are taking a trip to California this summer, so we'll be able to feed our park appetite at
Disneyland and Great Adventure, and won't mind skipping WDW in November.
We're from Northern Virginia, and our schools always have a holiday the first Monday and Tuesday of November, which gives us a nice long vacation missing only three days of school at an off-peak time. We're all excited about our third cruise, but we're locked into this week, and are repeating the same Eastern itinerary that we did in March. It would have been nice to be booked onto the Western.
We spent a wonderful week at Sapphire Bay on St. Thomas a couple of years ago in November. The water was warm, snorkeling (our first experience) was great, and the beach was almost deserted. Over Spring Break, though, we took the a taxi there early, only to find that within an hour excursions from at least 3 ships arrived. It was very crowded, and after lunch we left for Coral World, which is DD's favorite place on St. Thomas. Maybe this time we'll make it to St. John!
