well today is actually raining in Florida. I was surprized to wake up to rain with only a 10% chance. It hasnt rained in weeks.

Just got our new room from the DVC upgrade. Went from Category 10 Deluxe Inside Stateroom, to Category 4B Deluxe Family Oceanview with Verandah. Room 8146. Saved $267 and moved up 6 categories. Lost the onboard credit from booking with the Disney Visa, but I definitely got the better end of the deal.

W have cruised several times in November and December and it was always hot enough to swim. Sometimes it was quite windy so when you come out of the water it feels very cold. But the weather has been great.

A first cruise is very exciting!! Your 4 year old is the perfect age for it all to be extra Magical.

Sorry to say they have closed the FE now so that people can have time to get their gifts ready. Some make things so they need to know an exact amount in advance so they have time to finish before the cruise.

Not sure if you know but there is a pirate party night on board and everyone is invited to dress as like a pirate. Many go to dinner dressed as pirates and stay that way until after the party. With Halloween so close it is a good itme to grab pirate stuff.

Also for a free souvenir you can bring 2 pillow cases , white is best and some water proof markers in a plastic baggie to the guest services desk and ask for Characters to autograph them. Be sure and put a card inside with your name and room number on it. They attach one to the outside of the baggie but having one inside insures it wont get lost. Usually your room host delivers it to your room the last day, if not you pick it up where you dropped it off.
If you wash and iron the pillow cases first it works best or you can do a Matte style photo frame to be signed. Many times people will add a Thank you note too.

Nice to meet you. You have an unusual name, but also a pretty sounding name. if you e-mail me i can give you a few more tips for a first time cruiser too. i would PM them to you but you dont have enough post to do that yet.

Morning all,
today may be an interesting day to check out the port canaveral web cam.
Besides the Dream puling out tonight they are squeezing in some Carnival ships today that are usually in Miami due to hurricane Sandy. Fishing boats are also filling the marinas there today according to todays news.

Some ships will hang around at sea until the regular ships pull out, then they will dock here for safety.

Steve & Lisa, stay safe. i know Sandy should only be a tropical storm when it hits Cocoa beach the next 3 days, but they can be bad too and spawn tornadoes.

the lady said she shipped it a week ago.
i didn't get it.. Sure i still might. but a week should be plenty.

How do u handle that stuff? it was just sent regular mail, No tracking.

For all she knows, i could be lying.. she seemed certain i would hv it.

but she has no proof either. i'm just sad if its truly lost.

this happ to me once last year. but usually all my mail comes np. I got mouse mail, and the TA mail for wdw. I hate lost mail

Don't they (Etsy) have some sort of built in system that you can file a claim letting them know that the package didn't come?

Everything I have ever ordered on Etsy came with a tracking number . . .

I was expecting a package last week from Amazon. It said Federal Express delivered it on my "porch" (I only have a front step) - but I was home all day and no one rang a bell . . . I sent an email to Amazon on Tue - and they resent the whole package and I got it yesterday.
